New York City: A Photo Visit

A few choice views of the “city that never sleeps”

I suppose it could also be called “the city that never stops being photographed” as well! But anyone who has ever visited New York on foot will likely tell you that’s understandable. New York isn't just big, busy and (often) flashy. It’s also incredibly varied in its landscapes, settings, architectural styles and “feeling”. It’s more like several cities than just one.

Over the summer, I had the chance to visit New York for a few days with my family. For me, it was the first time I’d been there in a good decade so I was really looking forward to feeling it out on foot. As you’ll see in the photos which follow, I wasn't disappointed.

Enjoy :-)

My favorite is the one where the water stands still while the kid is in motion.

Thanks. It's true - looking back - that it is remarkable how little Upstate folk know of "the city". Of course, the opposite is true, too. ;-)

Darryl - Thanks for providing these awesome photos of the Big Apple. Four hours from my back door yard and yet I never realized how beautiful and stunning it could be. Creative photography.
