Sea Views Photos Offer Peace and Calmness to your Soul

Updated on October 13, 2015

Sea views in sunlight

It's a special feeling, watching the wonderful light in seascapes. Especially in the morning or evening. Sun light and water makes a perfect and beautiful match. I can just watch the light shifting. Another great thing to do in this wonderful environment is to take some photos. I do that, a lot and I enjoy it very much.

Need to relax?

Can you imagine something more relaxing than watching the sea? The movement of the water that continues in eternity. I love to spend time by the sea. My photos brings me back there, again and again.

Whenever I feel stressed or tired I get into my car and drive to the nearest ocean, sea, or whatever water I find at the moment. I then spend hours looking at the movement of the water. Sometimes it's soft and gentle, sometimes furiously. I love all kinds of water.

My greatest passion is photography and I have taken plenty of water photos. In this hub I will guide you through some of these photos and I hope you will enjoy them. I also hope that some of the greatness of the sea will show. I have chosen primary photos of calm water. They will show the calmness and peace I found by the sea.

Winter by the sea

One of my favorite places. The shore is filled with people in the summer, and it's really beautiful. In wintertime the beauty is still present and the silence is awesome. Source; my own photos.

Summer mornings by the sea

I usually get up early even in my summer vacation. The light is fantastic and the air is fresh. I recommend you to go out early in the morning and feel the sun on your skin, not yet to hot in that time of the day. The light is stunning and you want meat a soul. Beautiful, calm and realxing.

Some photography suggestions

The purpose of this hub is not to instruct how to take photographs of water, but if you like some start up tips, here are some suggestions:

  • Go out an early morning It will give a smooth feeling in your photos and wonderful light. The same result is possible during the winter, because the sun don't rise so high then.
  • Try to get a good composition, not just water. Some stones or trees for examples can make great and natural frames.
  • Use backlight, I often shoot facing the sunlight. That way you might get great silhouettes. Look at the second photo in this hub.

To recuperate on my way to work

Early morning on the way to work. Two great things; I have to get up early and I pass the Baltic sea on my way to work. Around 6.30 the view is stunning in a sunny day.

I don't have time to stop every day. But once in a while I stay to enjoy the morning and the sea. I shoot some photos and then drive of for work, feeling satisfied and calm.
