Photo A Day May Project: Day 1 ~ Peace
I don't know exactly who started the Photo A Day May Challenge, but here's where I got the challenge list that most people use: Photo A Day Challenge List
Have fun!
Peace
Shortly after billions of Sharpie markers were given to all humans, World Peace was declared.
People accepted the challenge to create a self-portrait using their new markers and the canvas of their choice. Some chose actual canvas, while others used walls, boxes, and even newspapers. Anywhere the marker would mark, the artwork went.
A wondrous thing happened while the artists were happy at work - they forgot all their cares and quit dwelling on disappointments and failures. Not a care was given and it showed in all the lines, dots, spots, and swirls.
Most portraits were created in just a few hours, but some decided to draw until every last drop of ink flowed. Eyes, ears, elbows - drawn in black, red, green...etc.
We saw ourselves for who we really are - children. Children playing. Children creating. Children enjoying life. Billions of pages filled with billions of faces. The trees must have shivered at the thought.
After all people had reported their homework as completed, a new project was announced.
Many hands will be needed to build the world’s largest refrigerator. After-all, these masterpieces need to be displayed somewhere!
Dad would be so proud!
