The Graffiti Wars - Scene 1

Baldble has a crew of four. A girl, Jet, who is Asian. Two other guys, Bail, as in get out of jail, who is white, and Primer, who is black or African-American. This crew only sees the colors on the wall. On this particular night they are practicing their craft underneath the above ground subway that snakes through Chicago on a recently painted(by themselves) rectangular wall. They wanted an untainted concrete canvas all to themselves. Their vision tonight is the interweaving of all of their trademarked tags. Each artist is working with the one next to them on the transition between the tags. It's turning out great! The night is quiet. A few cars speeding down the roads in the distance is all that can be heard. It's 3am. Only danger lurks at this hour...these days that danger is The Chosen.

An explosion goes off miles away in the city. The crew know another spray paint lab and its inhabitants have been offed. They will learn later if they knew the new fallen. "Another poor soul takes it for the cause." Baldble says to his crew as they all stop taggin' and look at each other.

Be sure to read the hub "The Beginning" before you read Scene 1.
