The Boys of Summer.

Updated on March 15, 2011

I have a vast collection of nodders/bobbing head baseball and football collectibles. I buy many of them completely destroyed and restore them to their original condition. I buy others just for the sheer joy of owning them.

I also restore for other collectors who want to fix up a piece they own. I will display just a few of some of the many I own, or have restored for others.

Some of these bobbing heads/nodders are worth thousands of dollars, others hundreds, but what they hold in memories to anyone who loves sports is priceless.

Those Boys of Summer And Fall.

I have restored many rare items in my work, LLadro, Royal Doulton and various other antiques in the toy and ceramic fields. I find great joy in bringing back a bit of history from the shards someone else left of them.

I hope you enjoy these pictures, and I also hope it takes some of you back to a simpler time, when souvenirs like these were a dollar and twenty-nine cents each. enjoy!!

All photos are ©-by Artwhimsically Yours Studio and MFB III-Myself. Please ask permission to use any of them, I am usually a nice guy when credit is given..and not due.

This is how I get many of the pieces, worthless shards of yesteryear.

To me, baseball is probably what camogie is to you!But you certainly must be a man of incredible patience-and with a real passion for this sport.I love these little guys-not that I have a clue who they are,but they are very cute-and so well repaired!

WOW is all I have to say, you even have a Canadian city. Edmonton, hah. I can remember owning a few back many years ago and they would bobble on my dashboard, I loved watching their heads bob all around. I wonder if they every made hockey players? I would have love to see the great late Maurice the Rocket Richard bobbing with his black haunting eyes looking as mean as when he crossed the blue line to Shoot and score at the knee knocking goalie in net. Thanks for the share, loved it.
