Up Cycle: Dragon Ball Z Heels w/youtube video

Starting Off
To start these shoes I made sure I had a few things:
- The Shoes
- Manga
- Mod Podge
- A Brush
- Scissors
- Blow Dryer (not used often but helps the glue dry faster)
Currently I don't have a work space for my crafting. I'm hoping to get a card table or something soon to make crafting and storage easier. So right now I'll have to do this on my chair for my vanity.

Start your project by cutting out some pieces of Manga. Also make sure you have a very good work space. Again right now I don't have one so I have to makeshift one for myself. It makes crafting really hard when you can't organize your stuff or have a nice space to work on.
Make sure you have a lot of manga because it takes a lot of pieces to cover 2 shoes.

Now that we have are piece of Manga we are going to get ready to glue it onto the shoe.

Try and match the manga up on the shoe so it flows well. Make sure to put glue on the shoe before you place the manga on it. I like to use lots of glue, because I over do everything. I also like to put glue on top of the manga piece as well in case I layer the pieces. It also helps to smooth out the piece of paper on the shoe.

Smooth the paper over the shoe. The front of the shoe becomes a problem since I don't want to cut the manga to form around it. I want the manga to remain as natural as they were, so you have to get creative and layer several little manga frames over the front.

The other side of the shoe doesn't have glue on it yet, (because I didn't want to get glue on my chair) So on the other side we will have to put some glue on it to hold down that manga. At this point I'd use a blow dryer to help dry some of the glue. I'm pretty messy when I craft so it gets everywhere.

Remember to smooth out your pictures. It isn't fun when the paper wrinkles up.
This is what the shoe will end up looking after its been covered all over with the manga. I put the manga everywhere.
And so this is how I made my DBZ shoes. However the way I made them, they cannot be wore, but if people really like them I might get into making more shoes like this that can actually be worn. This shoes are currently (as of 5/21/16) for sale on my Etsy store, I also made a Youtube video how I made these.
I hope you enjoyed this Hub!
