Cheryl Paton: Talented Artist
Cheryl Paton
Writer, Artist and Zazzle Shop Keeper
Having the privilege of knowing Cheryl Paton through Squidoo and the RocketMoms, she is a talented writer, artist and Zazzler.
In May 2010, talented artist Cheryl Paton posted a portrait offer in RocketMoms for the first three people to respond to her request. (aka CherylsArt on HubPages).
In exchange, the recipients would answer a questionnaire about the portrait and how would I (being the recipient) promote Cheryl's art.
When I emailed Cheryl, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was the second person to respond. I sent her a picture of my daughter Brittany and then anxiously waited for the final result.
(Note: RocketMoms was a writer's group on Squidoo. Squidoo was a social media writing site, like HubPages. In August 15, 2014, the founder of Squidoo, Seth Godin announced that Squidoo was acquired by HubPages.)
Custom Made Products for You
I had the pleasure to speak with Cheryl Paton on the phone on June 7, 2010. As part of her portrait promotion, four people were chosen. There were two in pencil (shades of black and gray), one in watercolor, and one in acrylic. For portrait pricing and custom Zazzle product, contact Cheryl at creative-brushstrokes@comcast.net
A couple of recent custom request on Zazzle products were to make a bridal shower invitation where they wanted a Princess theme and a pumpkin carriage. Another design request was one for Keep on Truckin.

Portrait of Brittany - By Cheryl Paton
May 29, 2010 the package came. The day before this, Beth Day received a pencil portrait. Expecting to see the same type of art medium, but instead finding a vividly watercolor painting that matched the colors in the photo I had emailed.
Though I had liked the other medias that Cheryl had done for the other ladies of our group, I was very pleased that she had done this watercolor painting for me.
We were intrigued on how our daughter's eyes stood out and her hair color was captured in this painting. It was obvious that time had been applied to this well crafted portrait. To give it that extra touch, textured matting outlined the painting.
I plan on finding the right wooden frame to compliment this wonderful artwork.
