Purchasing your New Cricut Machine
So you have just bought your new Cricut machine. Now you need to learn how to use it. I will give you the basics on using it. Although you will gradually learn more as you gain confidence creating wonderful cards and things on this beautiful machine.
First Step is Unwrapping Your Cricut Machine
Once you open the box you will find the machine (I hope) a USB cable, pen, blade, a power cord and a cutting mat. Different models include extras.

Second Step: Set up your Cricut Machine
I gather that you have already found a suitable place to set up your new machine. It needs to be placed on a stable bench or table with room to place your cutting mat so it can move in and out safely.
Now connect the power cord and plug into power outlet.

Third Step: Now connect your machine to your computer
Did you know that you can connect your machine to your computer, mobile phone via USB or Bluetooth. To use the USB you have to pair the two up first.
Fourth Step: Download the cricut Design App
This is how you will customise your designs. You will of course have to create an account to do this.
Fifth Step: Create your New Beaut Design
This app will guide you on how to choose our materials and explain how to load them into your Cricut machine. Do not expect to be an expert straight away, it all takes practice and the more you do the better and more stunning your creations will become.
This machine can cut all sorts of materials, paper, adhesive vinyl and cardstock.
