Basic Supplies:

*Cheap sunglasses, any color or pattern you want.

*A plastic bow. If you don't have a plastic bow, make one out of fabric (could even be a cute polka-dot pattern or animal print!), or make one out of polymer clay.

*Clay. Besides making your own bow (if you choose to do that) you'll need clay to make the whiskers.

*Strong glue.

Basic Plastic Sunglass Frames

If you have a pair of plain sunglasses to use for this make your own Hello Kitty sunglasses project, then use those! If not, there's no need to spend a lot of money, get a cheap pair of retro or "nerd" sunglasses from your local dollar store. You can even check out these super cheap, plain plastic sunglasses on eBay. If you're planning to make the sunglasses as a party activity, buy these wholesale priced Wayfarer style sunglasses in bulk.

Hello Kitty Plastic Bow

You'll need to fasten a bow to the corner of your sunglasses' frame. Attach the bow with glue. You can find all sorts of plastic bows in the jewelry section of your local craft store.

Make Hello Kitty whiskers for sunglasses

To make the whiskers for your Hello Kitty sunglasses you'll need polymer clay or mold-able plastic. If you use polymer, like Sculpy, choose a color that coordinates with your frames. You'll need to cut and mold each individual whisker. (Three for each side.) The "whiskers" then need to be fastened to the frames. Check the package of the product you are using for instructions on how to attach the polymer to plastic (some kind of glue usually).
