The Middle Passage Art Exhibit
These pictures are part of a series entitled "The Middle Passage." It is an exhibit of my work depicting the Atlantic Slave Trade. I am doing this to commemorate Black History Month. I hope you all enjoy and feel free to leave comments.
Sadly, today this type of thing still is taking place every day. Slavery may be the greatest crime ever committed against humanity. In the interest of fairness, I want to note that there is not a race of people on the earth today that at some time or another in their history has not enslaved and/or exploited another race for their own profit. So in a sense it is time for us all to "get over it" and admit we've all got blood on our hands. Once we admit that, we can go forward with healing these old wounds and work together toward a greater future for all of humanity. Unfortunately, that task will never be accomplished until Jesus Christ himself is seated at the head of the conference table.
