Art by Patricia Jedrick
Enjoy This Gallery of Her Art Work
I first met Patricia Jedrick in Maryland, back in the 1980s. She had been painting for many years and it was a treat to just walk around her home looking at her art on the walls. She has since moved to South Carolina. In her new home, she set up her studio again and continues to paint in watercolor, oils, pastels and mixed media.
Patricia, Pat, Trish... no matter what name you know her by, this accomplished artist stays in your mind.

A Portrait and a Landscape
Consider the Lilies - pastel painting by Pat Jedrick
Anyone would love to have this beautiful piece of art on the wall in their home. I grow lilies that are very similar to these. Unfortunately the lilies last about one week, but this I could enjoy forever.
Pat Jedrick Is Now Accepting Commissions
Do You Want a Portrait Done from Photos?
The artist says, "I do portraits on commission from photographs but I prefer to see more than one photo of the person to more fully understand them."

Patricia Jedrick's Art Background and Training
She studied commercial art at the Moore Institute of Art in Philadelphia (now called Moore College of Art and Design).
The artist worked for an ad agency in Philadelphia for a number of years and for awhile in San Francisco with Jane Kristiansen (free lance artist for the "ABOVE " books such as : "Above Paris" ," Above Washington D.C." , "Above San Francisco " , etc.)
In the 1960s she worked as an Art Designer for Schneider Design Studio in Baltimore. She also studied portraiture with The Mitchell School of Fine Arts 'in Ruxton, Md.
Patricia Jedrick also did freelance work for A.J. Sackett, Co. for some years and since retiring she has continued painting and doing some sculpture in clay.
Whenever she traveled, she would be on the lookout for a good place to stop and paint . Here's how she describes this painting-a-day, "It would usually take an hour or so and be very sketchy and sometimes quite large on a roll of brown paper held down with rocks and stones. Once or twice I ran across some weird strangers ..spooky! But it helped me to paint fast and that can keep a certain freshness to the work."

This one is titled "Revelation" - A Pat Jedrick inspirational painting
The artist said, "I started designing this back in 1980 and November 2009 did the final brush strokes. 'Revelation' needed my spiritual maturity to advance over years before I could finish it . I simply did not know how to finish it before that happened so it hung unfinished until this past year and then it was no longer a problem."
