Find out about me and my art and photography
Hi, I'm Pixie. I'm a graphic designer, fractal artist & photographer, when I'm not working on a graphics or photography project for a client I'm usually found out in the open air behind my camera.
I love photographing any form of nature especially sunsets, wildlife, flowers, and bright colours, it really makes me appriciate the smaller things in life.
When i'm not outside photographing i will usually be found in front of my computer creating fractal art, the colours, patterns and textures fascinate me so much and i could spend hours looking at some of my creations. I love using bright colours in my art as you will see!!
In this lens you will find out more about me, my hobbys, interests and things i love and also see my fractal art and photography.
A Little bit about some of the things I Love
I love rainbows and anything thats rainbow coloured, the mix of all the bold colours together are just perfect!
I'm in the middle of putting a new kitchen in at home and will be using rainbow coloured tiles on the walls to brighten it up, my units are white and worktop will be black quartz so think rainbow tiles and utensils will look absolutely perfect.
It'll also blend in nicely with my rainbow living room!

Psychedelic, Fractal Art and Abstract Art in my Hippy Gift Shop
I also love creating psychedelic fractal art in Adobe Photoshop, some of my designs started their life as photographs and have been manipulated to create this bright and funky art while others have been created using different colours, textures, patterns and layers.
I opened my Hippy Gift Shop in August 2011
My Poi video on YouTube
Poi originated in New Zealand by the Māori people. It is a style of performing art that involves swinging weighted poi through a variety of geometric patterns.
The poi can be made from all sorts of materials with different effects, Beginners often learn using a pair of long socks with a tennis ball or bean bag inside.
You can also buy brightly coloured flag poi, glow poi and fire poi.
Sorry about the quality of this video, it was made back in 1997 on a moblie phone that looked like a brick!
I must get around to filming it again in HD!
Animals
I love animals, especially cats. I have a black cat called Satan who's here sitting on my lap while i write this, she's 17 years old but still acts like a kitten and definitely lives up to her name, she's such a little devil but a perfect pet.
I also love rabbits and used to have a house bunny called 'Lovely Buns' she was so sweet and used to hop up and give me a kiss when i blew her kisses, I was worried how my cat would react when i brought her home as she was only a few weeks old but my soppy cat was scared of her and used to run away if the cute little bunny got too close!
I also have a thing for owls, bats, turtles, wolves and otters.
Teddy Bears
I've always loved teddy bears but my obsession's got worse over the years, especially since i met my husband, my hubby is a teddy bear fan too and still has his first ever bear that sits on the top of our sofa.
I had to spend some time in hospital a few years ago and my hubby spotted another teddy bear that looked similar to his bear but smaller so he bought it for me.
Whenever we go on holiday the bears come with us, they even made a special appearance at our wedding after a mass panic in the morning when my hubby realised he'd left them at home.
After an hours round trip he collected them and they spent the day in his jacket pockets!
I'm so glad we spent the night apart and i knew nothing about this untill after the ceremony as i think his panic and urgancy to pick them up would have sent me over the edge!!
