I have to rate this pattern Intermediate because of the stitch pattern used. But I have included a how-to video for the Treble Crochet stitch, which will allow anyone to work this pattern.

What You Will Need
Small amount of thread or yarn
Crochet hook appropriate for size of thread or yarn
Elastic Ponytail Holder
A Word About Yarn/Thread Selection...
You can make this pattern with thread also. Just work enough SC's around the elastic to cover it, making sure you end up with a multiple of three. Then you will simply need to complete more stitch patterns.
How To Make It
(Directions Given For Yarn - See Sticky Note for Thread)
Make starting loop, remove hook from loop. Reach through center of elastic band and grab the loop, pull it through. Ch 1.
Round 1
Work 45 SC around elastic band. Join with sl st to first stitch.
Round 2
*Ch 6, TRC in base of CH 6 just made. Ch 4, SC in base of ch 4 just made. Ch 6, TRC in base of ch 6 just made. Skip 1 SC, SC in next SC. Repeat from * around. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
