The Watercolor Paints Which Brought Out My Passion
Grumbacher Academy Watercolor Paints changed the way I viewed painting with watercolors. Before being introduced to them I thought of watercolor paints as strictly those circles of hard paint crammed into a plastic case required for grade school art courses. Those paints typically lasted an hour or two before becoming a murky mess of colors. Not so with the Academy Watercolor Paints.
Every watercolor paint comes in a tightly-capped tube allowing for easy control over how much paint is required and where to place it on one's palette. Do not worry if you are new to watercolor and have yet to purchase your first palette. This Set of 12 comes complete with a ready-to-use plastic palette. Each set also comes with a flat wash brush and watercolor instruction booklet. To put it simply: you have not merely purchased a set of paints; you now own everything you need to truly begin painting.*
Now. Take a look at the module below. Every painting has been done by me. I am not talented nor do I pretend to be. I simply have a passion for watercolor. Grumbacher Academy Watercolor paints are what brought out my passion to paint what I love.
Academy's Alizarin Crimson, Green Viridian, and Thalo Blue have become more than tubes of paint. Their crisp fresh colors stopped all my childhood watercolor fears. I could mix to my heart's content and never worry about ending up with a wasted box of colors. Once I saw how easy this truly was I had a break-through. I wanted to use color to create paintings which were fanciful. When it came to my watercolors, reality was optional. No more landscapes. No more true-to-life flowers. Watercolors with names like Alizarin Crimson and Cadmium yellow should be expressed through my love for color. If I wanted hair in Ultramarine Blue with highlights of Thalo Blue and Green Viridian then so be it. Painting should be about passion and at the heart of mine would be color.
If you are looking to add color to your own art, thinking about giving watercolor a try, or looking to help someone start a passion of their own then I recommend Grumbacher Academy Watercolor Paint Set of 12 Colors. They not only give you beautiful color choices but also include a palette and flat wash brush to help you on your artistic journey. Purchase a watercolor pad, like the one below, and get started on unleashing your own passion.
*The set does not include watercolor paper. I have recommended my favorite pick for watercolor paper below.

For beginner's I recommend choosing cold press for mastering your first techniques. I have found a harmony of the two in Strathmore Watercolor Cold Press paper. I love their paper so much I own multiple pads in several sizes.
