94-04 Mustang Mach 1 Chin Spoiler Install

Updated on November 11, 2011

What You Need

  1. Chin spoiler
  2. 1/4” drill bit

  3. Tape (masking/duct)

  4. Drill

  5. Mounting hardware (bolts + nuts or push-pins) x10

  6. Jack + jack stands or ramps

Get To Work

Unless you're a very small person, you're probably going to need to jack your car up to get under the bumper for this install. Make sure you set your car on jack stands or drive it up on ramps. If you don't have either of these, go buy/borrow some before getting under your car (safety first).

With your car up in the air you'll need to line your Mach 1 chin spoiler up with your wheel well and use a piece of tape to hold it in place. Go all the way around the bumper, taping the chin spoiler into place. Don't go overboard on the tape, you'll be taking it back off.

Now the tape should be holding your Mach 1 chin spoiler right where you want it. Take your drill and drill bit and drill 10 holes (depending on where you bought your chin spoiler, the locations may be marked).

It is recommended to insert your mounting hardware right after you drill each hole. This may help keep your holes neatly lined up if your tape is letting the chin spoiler move too much.

With all of your mounting hardware in place you can safely remove the tape from the chin spoiler and take your car for a drive to show off your brand new Mach 1 chin spoiler!
