Car Kettles and Automotive Hot Water Boilers For Soup, Coffee and Tea

Updated on August 24, 2014

Car kettles or automobile water boilers, if you prefer, enable you to boil water and heat beverages whilst you are on the road without having to pull in to a service station or buy expensive roadside beverages. There are two main styles to chose from, either those which resemble a regular mini tea kettle or small travel coffee maker or those which resemble an immersion heater element which you drop straight into a cup of liquid to raise its temperature.

Either works just as well, although the immersion heating element are most suited for boiling a single cup, heating up soup or reheating beverages which you have already made. By contrast, water boiling kettles for cars and automobiles are typically a little larger being capable of heating two cups of liquid at a time so if you're making a beverage for more than one person, or like more than one cup of coffee at a time, then this is the better option.

12 Volt Travel Kettles For Cars

Boiling water in a car is easy when you have a battery powered car kettle. These hot water boilers are just like a regular electric jug kettle but run off a much lower power supply in the form of your vehicle's battery. As such, a 12V car kettle doesn't boil as fast as a regular kitchen model but it will provide you with boiling liquids given time.

Hot water boiling kettles for cars are a versatile replacement for filling up a thermos flask before you leave the house. On short journey's this might be fine but if you travel a lot, or for those times when you get stuck in an unexpected delay, then you will appreciate having one of these at hand. They're not just for making tea and coffee either, as many are designed to house more than just clear liquids allowing you to use them as a hot pot for making soup on the road or other non-solid foods. If you are a parent with a young baby then you will appreciate being able to use one of these to heat up water to warm a bottle on the road especially when you haven't got access to a more convenient alternative. The more you use a car kettle, the more you'll find uses for it, they really are that convenient.
