Hong Guang Compact Biz Vehicle
India will experience the likes of SAIC-GM-Wuling with a chance of bringing Wuling Hong Guang compact business vehicle to India after it was launched in Auto China 2010. Reports confirm Shanghai Automotive Company of China (SAIC) and General Motors Company have already made a joint venture deal of U$100 million in Hong Kong only to focus on Asian markets which incorporates the Indian mission.
With the stylish exterior (encompassing type) and small engine, this compact model of Hong Guang is a trend setter for compact business vehicles. It has an expected price range of $15,000 and is especially aimed at those mass who seek a business vehicle with a good harmony between fuel efficiency, performance and of course price factor.
Sources report though not official that the Hong Guang will be available with an option of P-TEC 1.2 litre and 1.4 litre engines, behaving one of its kinds in the business vehicle segment with an engine displacement of 1.6 litres.
It carries a congenial look with its U- shaped front part and head lights resembling that of eagle eyes. The side body stripes follow a simple meticulous path and its six inch wheels made of aluminum alloys give a satisfying look. The interior is spacious with T- shaped outline and the central control panel is of dual color in nature. Its wheelbase and central panel instruments are similar to sedans.
Durability goes a long way with Hong Guang with its chasis attuned by Lotus in UK which is an expert on comfort and safety. The suspension can deliver comfort even in bad road conditions with its excellent quake-absorbing function.
