How to disable seatbelt chime 2008 Honda Civic
How to disable 08 Honda Civic Seatbelt alarm
If you have a 08 Honda Civic the alarm for the seatbelt can be pretty annoying. I always wear my seatbelt. However the seatbelt warning sound goes on as soon as you get in the car, Well if you'd like to stop the warning alarm and trust yourself to remember to use your seat belt there is a way to fix it. (use for test purposes only) and always use your belt anyway please.
1) Unplug the battery to stop any coding for other sensors.
2) You have to disconnect the three pronged plug typically located under the drivers side bucket,You can follow the wire originating from the the seat belt buckle. That's located under your front drivers seat.
- Using a piece of 20 gauge solid non-braided wire, Jump pin one to pin 3 on the plug with wires that are fed under carpeting:
1 NO = Green jump to terminal 3
2 NC = Yellow leave open or unplugged
3 Ground = Black
Now just leave the plugs unplugged with the wire jumping pin one to pin 3 and the computer will think that the seatbelt is currently in use.
Hook the battery back up and please use your seat belt anyway!
