So, hubby and I are going on our weekend adventure to Lynton and Lynmouth. The bike is loaded up and we are ready!

Suzuki Bandit 1250

Wonderful bike for touring on. We have rode Europe on the bike above and it has always given us such a pleasurable trip. Would recommend the bike to anyone looking to tour abroad.

Weather was great on our way down to Lynmouth

When the sun is shining and the roads are dry it makes all the difference to riding a motorbike. The roads heading towards Lynton and Lynmouth are great for the motorbike.

Loads of bikes on this trip

Didn't matter where we stopped for a rest on the way there were many bikes heading towards Lynton and Lynmouth, didn' t realise that it was a popular attraction to riders and can't wait to see what it's like.

And look at this scenery a must for riders and pillion passengers

So, I have travelled many places and I am going to add this scenery to my best scenic views to be had list. Absolutely outstanding rolling hills, lush green valleys and special roads awesome for riding.

The views are amazing!

Around each corner we turn a different view appears even better than the last one. Absolutely amazing.

Lynton & Lynmouth have lots of little coffee shops, pubs and gift shops

Such a lovely place to visit, I would go as far to say quite romantic. The scenery is fabulous and everyone is relaxed, wondering from shop to shop and walking along the lovely cobbled streets.

The view from our hotel

Wow, we were so lucky the b&b/hotel gave us a room overlooking the bay and the view was spectacular.

The cliff railway a must if you visit

Really high up, it takes you down to the bottom where you will find more shops, the sea, and lots of walks.

Always great when you can get a random picture!

Unbelievable that the gull didn't fly away when I took this picture. It stayed completely still, just staring out, really odd, as if it was waiting for something. I couldn't see any fish, perhaps it was waiting for more gulls to join it.

One thing I will say is that it is very hilly in Lynton!

When we arrived at Lynton we had to go up a very steep hill on the motorbike. In hindsight if we had known that the hotel was at the top we probably would not have stayed there. Reason being that the bike was loaded up and struggled a little to get up the hill, I had to get off and walk upto the top to make it slightly easier.

Time to go home and the weather is changing

When the weather changes to cold, misty and wet, riding a motorcycle takes on a whole new dimension, one, that you have to embrace head on and accept for what it is. If you dont, then you wont be riding for long as the weather in the uk can be one minute lovely and the next well more rain!

So trip finally comes to an end and I'm still smiling and the weather has changed

Fab trip, weather has changed again and we are now in full sunshine. What can I say about Lynton and Lynmouth, well, really worth a visit especially on a motorbike. You won't be dissapointed.
