Safety measures to avoid bike accidents

Control your bike speed

First and foremost is the speed. Speed is a major cause leading to accidents. We see Most of the major bike accidents in highways and the person riding the bike will touch 80 to 90 km/hr. We should ride the bike at a speed of 40 to 50 km/hr which is economy and safe.
First we should learn to control the speed of the bike. Speed problem is mostly seen in youth as they are not aware of the real danger. 80% of bike accidents occur due to high speed riding. So please ride your bike at a normal speed of 40 to 50 km/hr and save your life.

Wearing helmet protects from head injury

Helmets are the life saving device for bikes. Most of the bike accidents cause head injuries which is a major cause leading to death. It is very difficult to survive from head injuries. From my experience, I saw most of the people riding bikes without helmets which is not at all safe. Always use a quality ISI mark helmets which will be strong and safe. Most of the death accidents are due to head injuries, So please wear your helmets before riding the bike.

Over load - out of control

You have no right to ride your bike with more than 1 person in your bike. Bikes cannot handle more than two people. We saw some people riding bikes with three to four persons which is real danger and out of control situation. You will not get proper control with more than two persons (two means you and the other person). Always keep in mind, police is nowadays very strict in checking and you will be caught and have right to take actions against you. My suggestion is that ride your bike with you only and maximum one person and avoid the danger.

Follow traffic rules and signals

Aware of the road signals and traffic rules

Make sure that you follow the traffic rules correctly as per your country. You should aware of the road signal which is very important to avoid accidents. A wrong turn without signals like bike indicator will surely create major accidents. Make sure that you have properly studied followed the signals and rules before riding a bike. Please ensure that you have learned everything from a driving school before entering the roads. Different countries are having different traffic rules. Please follow your country's traffic rules correctly to avoid accidents.

Drunken driving

Drunken driving is a real danger situation which is created by you only. You will not get any control of your bike riding. Rules will not allow drunken persons to ride the bikes or any vehicles. Always ensure that you are normal and not drunk before riding a bike or vehicle which will avoid sure accidents.

Avoid mobile phone while riding a bike

Avoid using mobile phones while riding bikes

Mobile phones are very useful in our daily life but please don't use while riding a bike. Riding bikes with two hands itself is causing accidents, so imagine riding bikes with one hand. Better way is to switch off mobile phones before riding the bikes. Handling a bike along with a mobile phone is very difficult and cause real danger. So please stop using mobile phones while riding bikes.
