Top Free Services O'reilly's

Updated on October 11, 2016

Fluid and Battery Recycling

Orielly's along with many other automotive parts stores offer free battery and fluid disposal. trying to save money and replace your battery yourself? Great, make sure you dispose of the old battery at O'reillys for the best value.

Do you change your own oil on the weekends? do you keep up with all the proper fluid maintenance your vehicle requires? If you answered yes to these questions then bring all those old and used fluids, i.e. oil, coolant, and brake fluid, to your local O'riellys and they will dispose of them free of charge and will even return whatever container you brought the old fluids in.

Battery Testing

Extreme temperatures in both winter and summer play a large part in battery failures. Bring your battery into any O'Reilly Auto Parts store for a complete diagnostic check at no charge. They can determine if your battery is about to fail or is weak as well as give you halth status of your starter and alternator as well.

If you suspect you might have an electrical system problem or even if just your battery light comes on in your car, why not stop by O'reillys and get a quick and free answer instead of taking your vehicle to a mechanic shop where you will pay upwards of 100 dollars just to find out what is broken.

Check Engine Light Testing

Is the check engine light on in your car? Don't ignore a potential problem. O'Reilly Auto Parts offers free check engine light testing to help you get to the heart of the problem.

Most of O'reillys stores can loan you a code reader for OBD 1&2 systems for vehicles from 1996 and up, except in California and Hawaii where it is prohibited by law. Also, most O'reillys stores now offer "Trouble Code Support," and they can provide you a print out to identify your code.

Why waste hundreds at a dealer when O'reilly's can tell you if the problem is serious enough to need a dealer or if the problem can wait to be repaired at a later date.

Drum And Rotor Resurfacing

If your mechanically intelligent enough to perform your own brake jobs on all your own vehicles then consider getting all your resurfacing needs done at O'Reillys.

Most O'Reilly Auto Parts locations can resurface your vehicle's drums and rotors if they measure within specs and aren't showing signs of extreme wear. Surface finish is crucial to proper vehicle braking and pad life and should always be part of a complete brake job.

Tool Loan Program

Last but not least, my favorite program. O;reillys now has a tool loan program also. If you are knowledgeable enough to perform even the biggest automotive jobs then consider O'reillys for all your specialty tools needs. They offer their loaner tools for the cost of tool up front with a 100% reimbursement once you return the tool to the store. So basically, they will loan you their tools completely free of charge, That's a win-win in my books.
