World’s Tiniest Car: Peel P50

The Peel P50 is a three-wheeled mini car that produced around 1962 and 1965 by the Peel Engineering Company on the Isle of Man. They sell the car at price of around £199 when it was launch on the market and presently hold the record as the smallest car ever produced. Peel actually are a city located on the Isle of Man where the place is between England and Ireland. Isle of Man is placed for popular motorcycle TT course that is usually run each year. The P50 was designed and developed by Cyril Cannell and Henry Kissack. They launched the car in 1962 at the Earls Court motorcycle show. During the peak of Peel P50 production, Peel Engineering company only employed 40 workers. In 2010, the Peel P50 production seemed to be halted, but today there is an electrical model of PeelP50 with the top speed of 16km / hours. Production of the car known is on a new secret location in the northern England, and was being only 50 to be produced and might price around £ 12, 499.

Basically Peel P50 was designed as a city car, and ever being advertised as effective car with capacity of "one adult plus a shopping bag.” The Peel P50 has one door on the left side of the car and the equipment integrated with a single front wiper, also it’s only having one headlight. The Peel P50 has standard colors which are Daytona White, Dragon Red, and Capri Blue. The company began designing fiberglass motorcycle fairings before building the motor parts and the boat hulls. The Peel P50 using its welded tubular steel chassis that seemed was the first to be made on the Isle of Man. This car using a Zweiral Union single cylinder with 49 cc engine powers. It is also using three speeds of forward reverse gearbox. Peel P50 is 54 inches (or 1372mm) long and 41 inch (or 1. 041mm) wide plus with the weight of 59kg (or 130 lbs). There was never any other smallest cars are mass produced in addition to Peel P50. Therefore, the Peel P50 holds the record as the smallest car ever produced.

The Peel P50 is utilized with 49 cc DKW motors. It has top-notch speed with approximately 61km per hour (38km / h) and seemed have 3 types of speed that are geared up of which received no reverse gear. Up until today, the Peel P50 is still being one of the most unique cars that can be ridden on the road and it's has been proved as a famous car ever made.

Although small, this car looks quite adequate as a car that can only be used by one person. The advantage of this car beside accomodate luggage is that this car is not going to make the driver's body for getting wet during rains because the form of a closed car. The weakness of this car may lie in its ability in terms of speed and maneuver.
