   Why does my car keep shutting down? The Fuel light and the Theft light come on when it does that!
   
   Every once in a while, mainly when I buy/bought gas at certain gas stations, my car 'studders' and/or shuts off (the light also flickers occasionally when I hit the breaks). When it does that the Fuel light and the Theft light come on. Rarely does another white light between the RPM thing and the spedometer come on too. Any ideas?

   The best way to determine your problem is to have your local dealer or mechanic run a systems diagnostic.  Today's automobile is a highly sophisticated piece of machinery and most feature a computerized "brain."  Even one minor discrepency can affect the operation of the entire vehicle.  Leaving the gas cap off or not tightening it enough...or too much can cause sensors to react adversly. 
   
   Check your instruction manual to determine what the white light represents...the one between your tachometer (RPM thing) and the speedometer.  The lights are there for a reason and may provide the answer(s) to your question.

   That sounds interesting. You could check to make sure that your battery has good connection. You can get a battery tested at some autopart stores for free. Just call to double check. If you go to a mechanic, make sure you get a second opinion if they give you a huge bill. Try to go the most cost efficient routes first. If your car requires a high octane gasoline, putting in the lower octane can definitely cause problems. I agree with the first comment. Cars are electronic now a days so it helps to get them diagnosed.
