Is it safe to keep a car battery inside your house?
I have replaced my car battery (ACDELCO) for some reason , but the garage mechanic told my father that the old battery is fine. So, my father kept the battery inside my bedroom. We don't have any store room. Is it safe to keep a car battery inside your house? Could it cause health problems?
Keep, yes, charge, no. As long as you don't hook a charger up to it, you'll be fine. Wouldn't be a horrible idea to put it in/on something that won't corrode, in case it leaks though.

Does it really kill your car battery to jump someone else's car?I heard that you may be doing harm to your own car's battery by helping someone jump start their car. Is this true? Why would that be the case?

I have a 2002 Honda Civic and after losing my keys (both master and valet), my car sat for a month in the garage. I had to jump start it at least three times (possibly from the lack of a good battery charge). What are some signs that I need a new battery?
