Replacement parts for my 2001 Toyota Camry CE?
I've put 210K miles on her and she still runs great, but I am worried about the condition of the transmission, engine, etc... My dad also tells me the timing belt is going to need replacing soon. I don't want to buy the parts directly from Toyota, and I don't want to deal with some garage mechanic racking up the price of the job he does... I want to get my money's worth on this project. Where should I look online for the parts I need?
You don't necessarily have to look online for the parts you need. If you are planning to fix some of those things yourself, local auto parts stores (like Auto Zone or Advance Auto, etc) should have all the parts you need and at a more affordable price than hiring a professional mechanic to do it...believe me, I've been down that road.
If you haven't thought of it already, the internet is full of DIY videos concerning all types of auto repairs. Whatever you do, definitely COMPARE PRICES. I do this with almost everything I buy.
