Tata Indica Vista Quadrajet Aura Review
You can buy Tata Indica Vista Aura Quadrajet model fully loaded with AC, power steering, 4 power windows, CD player, rear defogger, engine immobilizer, central locking, tilt steering, and driver's height adjustable seat for Rs 5,15000 INR or so (with discount). Aura Qudra’s engine is Fiat's 1.3L multijet diesel used in Maruti Swift and Ritz and Fiat’s own cars Palio and Punto. Gear box is Fiat’s C510 which is also used in Fiat Linea. The huge space is not something which cannot be compared with other hatches. Does 130 kilometers with ease and is very stable with out any rattles from the suspension. The car is pretty heavy too, around 1150 kg which makes it stable for highway drive. Tires are tubeless. I have compared and studied all the diesel hatches of different companies and found this one, but the Vista TDI is Tata’s old turbocharged intercooled engine which you can find in old Indica turbo engines and Indigos, 71 BHP 14 kgm torque version. Vista Quadrajet is 75bhp, 19.5 kgm torque (this is the reason of that pulling).
Now read the pros and cons of Vista Quadra Aura Multijet
Pros:
ENGINE: The Fiat’s Quadrajet engine is the key to success. The car is extremely powerful and 130 on the speedometer, as mentioned above, seems effortless. The turbo engine is very responsive and is thrilling in scarce traffic.
TIRES: The 14” tubeless tires provide better stability at curves and defi adds to the comfort of passengers.
COMFORT: The room inside the car is fantastic. The back seat comfort is far more than the Swift or any car in this segment. The legroom is more than in the Ford Ikon/Hyundai Accent.
STYLE: The design is stylish in the exterior and impressive in the interior, though it’s a copy from several other brands. The back looks like the Ford Fusion and over all, the car looks like a smaller version of the new Honda CRV.
PRICING: Vista Quadra is value for money car. There are a lot of convenient features inside this car. TATA Engineers seem to have done some serious brainstorming and designed this perfect car for city driving.
Cons:
HEIGHT: The car could have been a little lower. It would have been really so much more fun to drive.
BOOT: The boot is extremely small. Defi needs a bigger one.
FEATURES: The quality of locks and power window knobs is disappointing. The speakers in the Aura aren’t great for music lovers. You would be better off buying the Aqua and fitting the best in class speakers and system. A few Vista Quadra Aura owners are also complaining of a malfunctioned central locking system.
But overall, the car rocks. If one is looking ahead buying a car that satisfies the entire family and not just himself, then Tata Indica Vista Qudra Aura is his/her answer. Though, I would not say that it is the best in class car if you are looking at burning the roads and plan to do fundu driving.
