It is important to have key information and links in the website that will enhance your business.  Creating a website that people can trust with easy to browse and access information is fundamental.

Information about your company is the most important.  Then what you offer or sell would be next.  Let your visitors know what your business offers and what it is all about.  The purpose is to be of assistance to customers and help them feel comfortable and rely on the information you present.  You want to make them feel at ease about doing business with you.

Include your company’s products and services is obvious and almost certainly the most imperative part of your website.  It is also important to have an online catalogue to show that you are a credible business among the industry.  The products are the main basis for people checking out your site. Make sure it is not a crowded and busy site.  If you have to put products on a couple of pages not all on one page.

Place your contact information on the website to ensure that customers can and will contact you. The contact information should include an address for mailing, phone and fax numbers, email address for each employee and a map of your location. A picture of the building is also a nice touch.

Customer comments from previous customers are an added bonus. If you belong to any associations like the Chamber of Commerce or the Better Business Bureau than post this.  These are fantastic ways to show your trustworthiness to potential customers.

Frequently asked questions are an essential link.  You could list common questions you have received in the past and have a link to this page. Another option is a question box form for questions that are not listed.

Adding Staff pictures give a business website a personal touch, people like to trust in people’s faces rather than just printed words.  Experts and qualifications under pictures are nice as well.

You are absolutely right about how important it is to keep your site from being overly busy. Sometimes, more clutter just adds barriers between your visitor and the action you want them to take.
