We have come to the close of 2019, and are fast approaching 2020. It’s time now to set our goals for the new year.

It’s time to sit down and write on paper what your major goals for 2020 are going to be.

Your goals may be something that you are very passionate about or something that you are really determined to do.

It may be something that you have decided to learn. Each individual will have different goals.

What are your goals going to before 2020?

As you decide upon your goals for the brand New Year, I want to share with you my personal goals for the next year.

I hope that you will get some ideas and some inspiration from my goals and it will help you to write down your own goals for the next year.

As I have said in some of my other articles, your goals need to be S.M.A.R.T. meaning Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound.

Here are my 7 personal goals for 2020.

1. Get Up At 5.30 In The Morning

Most successful people have a daily routine. All successful people have a morning routine.

I have observed that many people who are successful in life and business get up at about 5- 5:30 in the morning.

This includes people like Robin Sharma, the well known motivating coach. Robin has even started a club known as the 5 A.M. Club.

There’s something mysterious about getting up in the early morning- there is something fresh and energetic in the morning.

Those who are wise and want to make it big in life, make it a point to get up early in the morning.

Getting up early in the morning helps to set the tempo for the day properly.

Even though I wake up at 6 o’clock every morning, I want to start getting up half an hour earlier at 5:30 A.M. This will give me an extra half an hour in the day to accomplish my goals.

2. Start A YouTube Channel

It has been my desire to start my own YouTube channel for quite some time now. But for some reason, I have been procrastinating this for a long time.

In 2020 I would like to start my own YouTube channel and post videos about self-improvement self-development, writing and many other topics that would be helpful and valuable to my audience.

I would like to take a paid or free course that teaches how to set up your own YouTube channel.

3. Write At Least 300 Articles

Yes, I have embarked upon the journey of writing in 2019. I would like to continue this journey in 2020.

I want to write consistently and write long-form articles. It is my goal in 2020 to write at least 300 articles whether on Hubpages, Medium, my own blog or as a guest blogger.

Apart from this, I want to improve my writing, my titles, and my content in the next year.

I would also like to take a course on writing and how to improve my writing.

4. Read 12 Books On Self Improvement And Personal Development

I have always been a lover of books.

My personal library is full of books.

I guess I have around 1000 plus books in my library.

I have a particular obsession with books on self-development and personal development.

I know there is a treasure chest of books out there written by people like Robin Sharma, Tony Robbins, Eric Worre, Napoleon Hill, Gale Nightingale, Robert Kiyosaki, Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn, and a host of other inspiring writers.

My personal goal is to read at least 12 books in the next year on the subject of personal development.

That means my goal is to read at least one book every month.

I am planning to read these books in physical form and in digital formats.

5. Publish A Minimum Of 4 Books

It has also been my desire to write and publish books.

I want to publish a minimum of 4 books in 2020.

I know that I will need to work hard and write content that will add a lot of value to the readers.

I want to write books on personal development and self-improvement.

I want to learn how to write, edit, format, and self publish my books on Amazon Kindle publishing.

Of course, I know that there is a learning curve to do all this but I am determined to publish these 4 books in 2020.

6. Learn More About Digital Marketing

Since we are living in the age of the internet and online marketing, I have decided to learn more about digital marketing.

I know that these days, the promotion and sales of our products and our services can be done mainly through digital marketing including social media.

So I would like to learn more about how to conduct digital marketing campaigns and start doing it in 2020.

7. Become A Digital Coach

It is also my dream to become a digital coach in 2020.

I am already a Certified Life Coach and a Certified Executive Coach. But I would like to venture into the digital coaching business by the end of 2020.
