The Rise Of Nigerian Women: Profiling Agnes-Whitney Erimma Anyele

In this expose (and many more to follow), I will be profiling young Nigerian entrepreneurs who have excelled in their chosen career and paved way for kinder gestures towards impacting on the society in this harsh economic times.

Nigeria is a landscape filled with many a brilliant mind. Men and women who have intellectual prowess and proven ability, gifted, modern, ongoing, onward, open-minded, radical, reformist and avant-garde philosophies to challenge the society for the better. The shout for poverty reduction and a need to help government alleviate the living conditions of the people resulted in Agnes-Whitney Erimma Anyele staging a Small And Medium Scale Enterprise Scheme (SME) with the capacity to equip women and help them become independent and self-sustaining. Her Pet project--Whitney Dezigns Artistry--is setting the pace in recent times by providing training programmes in the field of:

•FASHION ACCESSORIES/TRENDS

•BRIDAL MAKEUP

•MAKEOVER

•BEADING

•WIREWORKS JEWELRY

•HATS AND FASCINATORS

•ANKARA CRAFT ACCESSORIES

•MANICURE/PEDICURE ARTISTRY.

Whitney Dezigns Artistry is a school of innovative venture setup to tackle the dwindling economic condition (state) of the Nigerian woman and to provide options for self-employment and self-sustenance. The school equips thousands in their numbers to learn a trade capable of providing alternative financial backup in this economic hard times. In this hostile economic condition, many have found the wherewithal to impact on the society via learning a trade. Also, considering the number of unemployed graduates who toil daily through harsh weather in and out of offices in an unsuccessful bid to secure employment is another reason why many should embrace this opportunity. The time has gone when certificates could easily translate to good jobs; no wonder many people have come to the realization that taking advantage of this opportunity not only serve an important need but also provides money for the catering of family responsibilities.

"The goal is to give back to the society" That was Agnes-Whitney Erimma Anyele's exact words when I popped the question

"What goal is behind this project?"

Many are moved by the singular ability to make something out of nothing with the goal to give back to the people that knowledge that is cherished more than gold. Agnes-Whitney Erimma Anyele is a woman whose stellar efforts have facilitated a chain of changes in writing a success story of sharing her many skills with others. She is a paces-setter; astute, disciplined, gifted, fascinating and jovial to the core. An amazon of beauty beaming with positives to astonish and mesmerize all admirers.

Through relentless effort and solid determination to pass on her gifts to others, Whitney is determined to benefit many Nigerian women. Her goal is to pass her school of knowledge to many by teaching them Crafts that would in the long run, sustain them for life.

Her mixture of talent, desire and hard-work is phenomenal.

"I love working with my hand right from my young days that was when I discovered the hidden talents. So when I started studying Medicine which I could because I also loved reading, I couldn't let go my love for craft.

Since my second year in the university, I determined to learn a new skill each year. As a result, I accumulated different crafts over the years.

"Earlier as a child, I did a lot of things like crocheting, knitting, leather work, drawing, pottery and many other skills; even at that, "I was never satisfied.

Merging Medicine & Craft was very challenging, but passion and determination gave me a morale boost to scale through the odds.

"I love being busy mentally and otherwise. Back then in school, any free time I had had to be filled with something worthwhile. It gave me relief and relaxed my mind practicing my craft. It gave me joy"

Agnes-Whitney Erimma Anyele is a graduate of Optometry from Abia State University, Uturu. She is a progressive driven by core hardwork, passion, zeal, determination and a desire to impact positively on the society. A Nigerian with amazing gifts bubbling within her begging to burst for the world to explore. She's a focused, articulate, determined and straightforward winner whose penchant for success is unrivaled. An intellectual of extraordinary class and dimension; an avid reader and a gifted professional. Her work has seen her travel far and wide dishing out ideas, lectures and seminars on how to be self-sufficient via craft.

It is pertinent that at this time of great economic hardship and unavailability of jobs, such greats are standing to be counted.

Just as our people will say:

"A tụọrọ ọ mara, ọ mara. Ma a tụọrọ ọfeke, ọ fenye isi nâ ọfia.

If you hint the wise they make use of it, but the fool will use it foolishly.
