Updated on August 22, 2010

When creating your ecommerce store in pretashop, you will find that that your stock images might have to be resized, and changed to fit the layout of your store.

To change the sizes of the images that are displayed just go into the prefrences, and images settings.

You can play around with the settings here to change the sizes that you images will appear around your pretashop store.

The main image inside your product detail page is a little different.

You will have to go into the file global.css

located in : www.yourdomain/themes/prestashop/css

Open the file up and search for the term /* product.tpl */

Under this heading you will find the following info:

/* product.tpl */
#primary_block #pb-right-column{
	width:310px;
	float:left;
}
#primary_block #image-block{
    border:#d0d1d5 solid 1px;
	height:225px;
	width:300px;
}
#primary_block #image-block img#bigpic{
	cursor:pointer;
	height:225px;
	width:300px;
The two parts you will need to change are shown below.
You will need to adjust the height and width for both of these parts to remove any whitespace border appearing around your stock image.
#primary_block #image-block{
    border:#d0d1d5 solid 1px;
	height:225px;
	width:300px;
}
#primary_block #image-block img#bigpic{
	cursor:pointer;
	height:225px;
	width:300px;
