How To Make a Million Dollars On The Internet In Six Minutes

Updated on March 6, 2010

Just by doing what I do

Don't you just hate it when you see headlines like that? So what do we do? We click on the link. It's a natural thing to do - we all want to make money, lots of money, quickly and easily. I think we're all realistic enough to realise that it's very unlikely to happen like that but that's not going to stop us! As you may know from previous pages of mine my personal quest is to make some money from the Internet - I'm researching and experimenting and as I go along I'll be passing on any useful information I find. Here I'm going to recap some of what I've learnt already and also offer some words of encouragement and, in addition, I'm going to throw in some meditational techniques free of charge now where else could you get an offer like that?

When I throw this open to the general public I'll be charging $$$$$s but you can get this valuable information for FREE - THAT'S BECAUSE I KNOW YOU WILL ACT ON IT IMMEDIATELY AND FOLLOW MY SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS

O.K. - so much for the hype - now back to reality - how many times have you read phrases like that?

From now on I'll try to keep off the bold and capitals - I was only doing it to illustrate the techniques I've seen employed.

So our first lesson in our quest is:-

  • Get attention

My headline is an experiment to see if this page gets more attention than my other pages - I'll keep you informed of the stats.

The stats will tlll me how much traffic I get and that's our first aim - to drive traffic to our site(s)

I'm in the process of creating my own site - it's a time-consuming task but I would prefer to offer something useful than just advertise other peopl's products or services.

I know that some of you may think that a website is too difficult/time-consuming/boring etc. - But that's the way I prefer. You could start with a free website describing a hobby or interest just to get into the swing of it.

If you want to experiment with domain parking that's fine - there's a couple of mine at the bottom of the page so you can see what they look like. You can try growing a beard while you are waiting for them to amass you riches - and that's only for you ladies out there! - we men will be practising my relaxation techniques.

The good news

The path you have chosen is an exciting one, with new opportunities presenting themselves every day. Approached the right way, our quest can help us appreciate ourselves and our lives more. We can respond to the challenge in a positive, enthusiastic manner. There are no time limits and there is nothing to prove - it's not a competition.

O.K. - I'm going to stop on that vein otherwise I'll be accused of being a cheesemeister.

Future plans

  1. I'm going to look at the 30 day challenge in more detail - my aim is to complete it in 30 years (joking). It's free and there's a link below. I'll be looking at ways to increase traffic.
  2. I'll monitor the stats for this page and continue to look at headlines to attract attention
  3. I'm going to build up content for my website.

Your Free Bonus - as promised

At some point in our lives most of us are affected by the stress and difficulties of everyday life - mine's normally at 4 o'clock on a workday - but one thing I've found which gives some relief is to practise deep relaxation. You've probably read about this before but, from personal experience I thoroughly recommend it and I definitely think it's something you should practise on a regular basis - it's very difficult to do if you are suffering at the time but it's much easier if you have practised regularly.

While you are lying or sitting comfortably you take a few deeps breaths then you say to yourself my toes are relaxed, my toes are relaxed -

while you are saying this to yourself you obviously concentrate on your toes - otherwise I don't think it would work!

Then you say (to yourself) my feet are relaxed, my feet are relaxed

I always say it twice in case I didn't hear it the first time - no seriously - I think it works better, it gives your brain more time to take it in.

Work up through the whole of your body and don't forget your head. Then concentrate for a while on your breathing. It works great for me and if you stick at it it will work for you too. Good luck - I'm off to do some more research into SEO etc.

Good luck and best wishes.

You don't have to be stressed to use these but it helps

Great hub! It's true about these types of headlines tho. People will click on them hoping to get a shortcut to the cash machine. Good luck and please pass on any tips you find relevant. See you at the top!

Thanks ag - only 2000 hubs? - shouldn't take you long! - I'm now working on a proper website so I can apply SEO techniques to it. I'll be reporting on my progress, I think the important thing is to enjoy what you're doing and pass on any honest information to others as you go along. - Max :)

Maxvon, I was so disappointed :-( I really thought you had discovered the secret and was going to share it with all your other 70,000 odd Hubber friends. :-(

Now I have to get back to writing that 2000 Hubs I calculated I need to get my first Google cheque.

Only kiddin' this is a great Hub and I wish you luck on your road to SEO success :-)

Thanks Lady_E - I've kind of got sidetracked from my original plan 'cos I enjoy writing hubs so much and I enjoy reading them - there are some great hubbers around - including you. So I'm having a sabbatical from my money making quest, lying back thinking of England and beavering away at my hubs. I think it's making me a better person! I only like ads that will help make people's lives nicer.

Lol. I actually saw the title of this Hub, the first time I visited your profile but didn't open it, simply because my mind told me it's not possible.

However, today - curiosity got the better of me. I think it will get a lot of traffic. Also, hopefully it will attract Ads for making money online which will get you lots of clicks.

I was looking for the Domains at the bottom....

      Best Wishes. :)

Thanks for your comments Annabel, since reading this I've realised that there are two 30 day challenges - there's the one I was on about, where you build a niche website and then try to monetise it and attract traffic and there's the one on here. I'm going to have a go at that when it's a topic I know something about. Although that's never stopped me before!

The 30 day challenge looks like a great way to kickstart your hub portfolio. Worth joining for the experience I reckon. And working online is not for the fainthearted. It takes a lot of hardwork and patience. One of thos situations whereby you word hard now, get paid later. Anyone thinking otherwise is crazy.

      Great hub, thumbs up.

Thanks Amy Jane - it's surprising how quickly we can learn what not to do - but not until it's cost us money! Good luck to those who want to pursue that route but I'm too ethical. I'm busy now creating what I hope will be a useful, interesting website and ten I'll use SEO techniques etc. only to let people know it's there.

Good luck with your website and the 30 Day Challenge! Glad to hear that you want to offer visitors to your site something of value. I hate it when internet marketers use terrible content - and then they wonder why they don't make millions off of it!

I love headlines like this - they are a reminder that we 'just don't get it!' Some are so far-fetched but yet people respond. I don't understand why folks are so gullible.

Nice to meet you by the way!
