All the people who have made significant discoveries,

or have achieved phenomenal success in life, have been dreamers.

If you want to accomplish something big in your life, you have to dream about it first.

If you can dream it, you can have it.

Here are seven principles that will help you in accomplishing your dreams.

1. Be Clear About What Is Your Dream

For your dreams to come true, you should be clear about your dreams.

Be very clear in your mind about what exactly you want to achieve.

Your dream begins in your heart and your mind.

Great people who dare to dream, always first have the vision in their minds.

So think big, and dream of all the possibilities for yourself, your family, and for the world at large.

If you already have a dream, then reignite the dream, fan the flames and go for it.

2. Be Committed Towards Your Dream

Be fully committed to your dreams.

You need to believe in your dreams, but you also need to keep on seeing them and your mind again and again.

Picture yourself with whatever it is that you are dreaming about.

Visualize that you already have it.

Tell others about it. Don’t be quiet about your dreams.

Keep on telling others because the more you continuously share it, the more you will believe it.

And one day as you keep on believing it will come true.

3. Have Faith In Your Dream

You must believe in your own dreams.

Say to yourself — no matter what obstacles I face, no matter whether anyone believes in me are not, I will believe in my dream.

Have faith in your dreams and believe that in the days to come they will become real.

Never give up dreaming and never stop believing in your dreams.

If you keep believing and keep acting on them, one day they will come to pass.

4. Take Rapid And Massive Action

Having your dream, believing your dream, and telling others about it is wonderful. But you also need to work it out.

The people who achieved their dreams are usually the ones who work harder than others.

While others find excuses and just sit on the couch, watching sports or a soap opera, you should be out there working towards your dream.

You need to spend time and effort in order to see your dream become a reality. Nothing beats hard work.

5. Take Out Time For Yourself Daily

It is very important that you take time out for yourself every day. It may be half an hour, or one hour, where you just sit down and reflect on your life.

Take time daily to renew yourself and refresh yourself so that you have the energy to work towards your dream.

It’s very important to sharpen the ax because the ax will get the job done but you need to keep it sharp.

This will only happen as you spend time daily in quietness and reflection.

6. Have A Role Model And Draw Inspiration From That Person

There will be times in your life when you don’t feel motivated at all.

It is during such a time that you need to have someone to follow, someone to get inspiration from.

Looking up to someone who has been very successful in the world, will encourage you to do the same.

Having someone to emulate gives you a guideline of values to follow.

It also helps you to overcome your own problems by studying how they dealt with their problems.

7. Don’t Be Discouraged By Setbacks

Setbacks come to all of us but how we respond to them decides whether we succeed or fail.

Thomas Alva Edison tried more than 10000 times to invent the light bulb. After having failed 10000 times, he was able to invent the light bulb.

If he would have given up, then we would still be sitting in darkness.

We need to come to terms with the fact that life is not fair. And as someone has said, if life throws lemons at you, make lemonade out of it.

Things will go wrong and life will get tough at times but you should be tougher. When the times get tough the tough get going.

Don’t sacrifice your dreams on the altar of setbacks or failures. Keep going forward in spite of difficulties and seeming failures.

Ultimately you will reach your goal and fulfill your dream if you don’t give up.

8. Don’t Underestimate The Power Of Small Decisions

In the process of accomplishing your dreams, you will have to make many decisions, both big and small.

Never underestimate the power of small decisions.

Usually, success is the sum total of small decisions you take.

It may be a small habit like establishing a morning routine or spending time daily with your own self.

It may be the way you do things.

It may be the way you interact with people.

It could be anything that you feel is small, but it is actually very big in the whole scheme of things.

So don’t underestimate any decision or habit.

But weigh it carefully, and if it is contributing towards your dream, then go for it because small decisions matter.

9. Develop New Habits

As mentioned earlier, never underestimate the power of even small decisions.

In a similar manner, you will have to develop new habits in order to fulfill your dreams.

You may need to sleep an hour late and get up an hour early.

You may need to eat properly.

You may have to spend time exercising.

There may be many other habits that you need to develop in order to accomplish your dreams.

It is said that it takes about 21 days to form a new habit.

So for 21 days, you need to keep on taking the same action and then it will become a part of your life.

10. Believe That You Will Get All The Help You Need

First of all, decide what your dreams are going to be. Once you have decided that, decide to believe in your dreams.

Finally, start working towards your dream, and you will receive all the help that you need.

When people see your efforts and passion, they will come forward to help you in fulfilling your dreams. Help will come from unexpected quarters.

So keep on believing and keep on working on your dreams and they will come true.

Happy Dreaming!
