Once you have identified the need for change, you need to make it happen

Do you really want to change what it is you have identified?

We all want to make changes in our lives at some point or other, whether it be changing jobs, houses, losing weight etc, but when we highlight these things that we think we want to change we need to be asking ourselves it that is really what we want.

We all have a habit of stating what we want and letting people know what we don't like in life but would we really want to change it.

Does fear take over and make us stay with what we have or do we actually grab the opportunity once we have identified what it is and make the change.

So, what is stopping us from making that change?

You can control what it is you want out of life you can't control anything outside of yourself.

What I mean by this is that say for example you want to change jobs, you have already made that decision but finding the right job to suit your needs is in your control but it takes a lot of determination, focus and time.

Making the change is in your grasp you just have to make it happen.

We could all say well I have a secure job, pension, holiday pay etc but deep down we are completely bored with what we are doing and stay exactly as we are due to fear of change and it not happening.

If you have identified the reason you want the change then it would be down to you and your decision not anyone else's to make that change happen if that is what you would really want.

Once you have faced the fear that could come with making the change

No change will happen until you have faced up to what is really bothering you about making the change, once you have faced that fear you can then make it happen.

The fear of change will not go away unless you take action. A lot of people make the excuse that they don't have enough self confidence to go for what they want in life. I personally believe that you only gain self confidence if you push yourself and change what it is your afraid of.

Wherever there is a problem there is always a solution, you just have to think about it

Once you have made your decision you must stick to it to make the change happen

Most people are terrified of change for all sorts of reasons. Risk being one of the main reasons, the feeling that you will fail in whatever it is you are trying to change, but if you don't try how will you ever know.

There is no such word as can't, whatever life throws at you, you can handle it you just have to find the confidence within yourself.

Identifying what it is you want to change and making the decision

Do Your Research
Get Your Priorities In Order
Trust Your Instinct
Stay Focused
Make sure that whatever it is that you want to change you research first and make sure that it is the very best option for you
Think about what priorities you already have in place and make sure that the change will fit in with these priorities
Once you have done your research and checked your priorities then trust your gut feelings, gut feelings are generally always right
Once you have made up your mind stay focused and positive and face your fears in the knowledge of knowing that you have researched the outcome and it will be a positive one

You must also remember that if the outcome does not happen as you had planned for it to, not to worry or fret as you will handle it, the change that you have made the decision to make is in your reach but maybe not right now

Remember you cannot control anything out yourself. You can however control trusting yourself to deal with whatever comes your way. Once you believe in your inner-self anything is possible.

THERE IS NO SUCH WORD AS CAN'T

Once you have decided that change is definitely what you want

Making the decision can be very rewarding once it has been identified and you have decided to take responsibility for your decision and own it. You cannot blame other's if thing's do not go as planned. You need to remember that outside influences are out of your control.

You do not need to put pressure on yourself you can still make changes by altering your goals and going at the pace that suits you. You cannot control the future, you can only influence what's going on now.

Try not to look at the worst that could happen if the change failed, embrace the fact that you have decided to make the change and enjoy it.

If you fail your a success because you tried to make the change.

Think about the last time you tried to make a change

Try to establish what it was that stopped you from making that change. Was it emotional factors or practical.

Only you hold the key to your own success and only you can take control of the power within.

When did you last make a major change in your life

By looking at the columns and circling which number you think you at in being satisfied with how things are you are able to see if you and your life are balanced

What did the columns show you?

Are there a lot of peaks and troughs or is it fairly balanced. Pick two or three that you have rated at the highest and write about them. Once you have done that pick two or three that you've rated the lowest and write about these.

Why and how do you think you have come to more satisfaction in others and what is it about these areas that make them more satisfying?

The idea of this exercise is to be able to work on and improve the rating on all the areas you have rated at less than 10.

Pick the area of your life you would like to improve on the most and ask yourself what you need to do to make that change happen, discuss it with friends and family see if they are able to give you an ideas to make the change happen.

Remember, to have a clear goal and think about the steps you need to take to make it happen. Taking on board any obstacles and working out how to overcome them.

If you see obstacles then answer these in your mind before taking the next step.

What would you most likely change in this time of your life

If you had to change anything out of the two to make a positive more rewarding difference in your life what would it be?

To summarise..

If you feel good about yourself anything is possible. Face your fears and trust yourself enough to go for what you want in life.

Tell yourself that you can handle whatever change it is your trying to achieve.

And don't be afraid, if you do not achieve the change you want straight away don't just give up and forget about it, if you have decided that is what you want to do stick at it, persevere, be positive and it will happen.

Be Happy in what ever change you make in your life. This video will make you think happy!
