Promoting Your Website - Offline!
Advertising Your Website
Most people are aware of the usual ways to promote your website online - backlinks, social media, etc. What a lot of people don't realize is that you can also promote your website offline! This hub gives you some suggestions on some of the great ways you can do this.
Untapped Website Promotion Techniques
If I had a lot of money, I'd probably put my mug up in a massive way - on a large TV screen in the middle of the city to promote my website (and myself)!
A slightly cheaper option to promote your website (but not by much I guess) is to have a custom made sign made up.
Make sure to have a great slogan that describes what your website is about, display your logo and very clearly display your web address. Alternatively, if you already have a large following online and people are aware of you offline, then just a logo or an avatar may be all you need!
Promote Your Website In Magazines
You could take out a page ad in a relevant magazine, or even a newspaper. If you are an author offline, make sure to mention your website in your book. To encourage people to visit it, have some sort of giveaway or special promotion.

Corporate Website Promotion
Most companies these days have a website. The best place to display your web address is on all the corporate promotional items such as coffee mugs, pens, stress balls, mints, pads, bags etc. The most basic form of offline advertising for your website is by placing the address on a business card that you can then give out to people or pin up on public notice boards (good for smaller companies or private websites starting out). If you're keen, you could also get some car door magnets with your website details. Then every time you're going to and from work, you're maximising your exposure on the road.
