Reasons I Became an Avon Rep

Updated on November 26, 2018

I recently signed up to become an Avon Rep and I would like to share with other my experiences so far. Feel free to ask questions!

Avon has Quality Products

I recently became an Avon Rep and I have learned a lot about the company in a short period of time. Avon is a very respectable company who has been around for many years. They actually started in 1886 in New York City.

The products Avon offer are of great quality and the prices are very affordable. This is very important when choosing a company to promote and/or work for. You want to make sure that you stand behind the products you are selling. With Avon you know you are getting a great product every time.

Direct Selling

So what is direct selling? Direct selling is when products are sold directly to the customer without the middlemen, wholesalers, retailers and or advertisers. Direct selling can be done one on one or via parties. This method is very personal and helps to build strong personal relationships.

Empowering and Uniting Women

Another reason I believe Avon is a good choice is because there seems to be a great sense of women empowerment and uniting. I have joined Facebook groups and other groups which consist of other Avon reps and everyone seems to be very helpful and supportive. It is sad to say but there has always been so much competition between women. We need more building up instead of tearing down.

Quick lesson on the start of Avon. David H. McConnell is the Founder of Avon and he did not start the company as a beauty company but a traveling book sales company. He offered beauty products as a bonus, but he found that the women were more interested in the bonus products that he was giving rather then the actual books he was selling. He recruited a team of women to be Sales Representatives. He realized that this was a great business model and it worked well hence the start of Avon as we know it today.

Avon Provides the Right Tools for Success

Another reason why I am impressed with Avon is that you are provided with awesome tools to help you become successful. Right off he bat you are provided with a very nice website and have access to all sorts of different tools to make sure that you are successful in your journey.

Examples of some of the tools that will be accessible to you:

  • You are able to easily place and track orders.
  • You are provided with marketing tools.
  • You have a place in which you can learn. Actual training with lessons, tips and tools.
  • There are real people who you can talk to and who will help you to become successful.
  • A sense of community.
  • You are provided with a website, fully loaded and ready to go.
  • You can easily promote on social networks.
  • The bottom line is Avon actually cares if you become successful. They want you to become successful. The tools you are provided surely help you to move in the right direction and become the best you can be.

Making Money Takes Work

While Avon provides you with all the tools you need to get started, becoming an Avon Rep will take some work on your part. You will need to take the time to promote your site/company and connect with people to gain customers. Online selling is not the only way to sell Avon, you can host parties or pass out brochures/flyers.

Your success depends on you. The harder you work the better the outcome. You can use Avon to make that extra cash or you can grow it to gain financial freedom, be your own Boss and make it your main source of income. I am not there yet, but that is something to look forward to in the future!

The signup is quick and easy and you will have your starter kit in usually a week or less. Signup is quick and painless.

Whether you are looking to purchase Avon products or start your own company, the standards of the company seem to be high with excellent customer service and support.
