How to Download Admit Card for Written Test
Various Examination Conducted by SSC
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is one of the biggest recruitment agency in India. It recruits Group B & Group C employees for various department/ministries under Government of India. Every year it recruits hundreds of thousands of candidates for government jobs.
It conducts a dozen of examinations spanning over the whole year. Many million candidates are being tested before appointment. There are various user department for which recruitment is conducted by the commission.
It recruits in large number for Group 'C' posts which comprises general as well as technical posts. Some of the major examination and user departments we will discuss later. Most of its examinations which accounts for a majority of vacancies are filled from the candidates who have passed 10th, 10+2 from a recognized board & Degree from a recognised university.
Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination : A candidates possessing a degree in any discipline from a recognised university can apply for this examination. Thus only graduate are eligible to apply for the CGL Examination. Following posts are to be filled through this examination.

ASI & Sub Inspector in Central CPO : This examination is conducted for recruitment to the posts of Sub Inspector in Central Police Organisation (CPO) which includes Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Assam Rifles, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Shastra Seema Bal (SSB).
Besides this Intelligence Officer in Narcotics Control Bureau is also recruited through this examination.
Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination : This examination is conducted for recruitment to the posts of Data Entry Operator (DEO) and Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
Constable in CPO : SSC is now recruiting the constables for CPO - BSF, CRPF, ITBP, BSF, SSB etc.
Technical/Scientific Assistant : Technical / Scientific Assistant in various department, institute, laboratories etc are recruited by various regional offices of Staff Selection Commission as and when requisition is made by the commission.
Junior Engineer Examination : This examination is conducted for recruitment to the posts of Junior Engineer in various organisation / department under Government of India. Recruitment for the post of J.E. in Central Water Commission, Military Engineering Service (MES), Central Public Works Department (CPWD) etc. is made through this examination.
Assistant in FCI : From 2011, the Staff Selection Commission has started conducting the recruitment examination for the post of Assistant in Food Corporation of India. The post of Assistant for General, Technical, Accounts, IT and Depot is made through this exam.
Jr. Translator & Hindi Translator : This examination is conducted for recruitment to the posts of translator in various departments under the Government of India.
Application for these above said examination is invited through Online as well as Offline mode. Thus candidates wishing to apply against these posts can apply either online by visiting the official website of SSC Online Application or using a paper based application, which can be sent via post.
Similarly Admit Card / Hall Tickets are also sent via posts as well as uploaded on the official website of SSC.
How to download Admit Card for SSC Written Examination
Staff Selection Commission uploads the hall tickets for the above said examination. These hall tickets / Admit Cards are uploaded on the regional websites of Staff Selection Commission. Thus a candidates who wish to download the admit card from the regional / sub office website of SSC then he / she must visit the concerned official website of the commission.
Under a regional office, several examination centres are allotted. These examination centres remain under the same regional office and no change is made in them irrespective of examination for any post. Thus every examination centre lies under a particular regional / sub office of Staff Selection Commission.
