Using a time management planner will help you keep organized which in turn will work better when it comes to you trying to get things accomplished. It is very important to keep things organized so you know what needs to be done and what has already been taken care of. When it comes to the subject of school we all need to know that no student should ever be without a time management planner.
Of course to most of us a planner is really nothing new. We know there are different types that fall into different categories. We can see daily, weekly, monthly and many other different sorts of planners. So now that we have a planner it really is important to understand what they are used for. Pretty much anything you do or plan to do should be marked in the planner. Its not meant to keep you a slave to your planner but rather help you to understand and remember when things are suppose to be happening.
For the most part you will be keeping your time management planner with you. If you have it then you can keep up with the things you need to get done. Assignment, projects and anything of the sort has expected due dates, it is important you pay attention to these dates and keep them recorded. It is also important to acknowledge them when you know they are done. In other words check them off and get them off the list. You must learn to check into your planner several times a day. In fact one of the first few things you should be doing in the morning after you wake up is be checking your planner. It will give you a quick heads up and reminder of what needs to be accomplished for the day.
For all appointments in your time management planner it is of great importance that you include phone numbers. A phone number could easily become your most important thing. If you need to phone a client, co worker, instructor or anyone else for any reason you will be very glad you took the time to record the phone number.
It may seem a bit elementary but doing something like using different color high lighters to tell the difference between things like appointments and assignments will actually save a lot of grief and for the most part avoid mistakes. The important thing is that no matter what you do when you open your time management planner you quickly recognize what is going on.
