The Benefits of Joining Avon and Becoming Your Own Boss

One of the beautiful things about Avon is the ability to set your own hours and work from wherever you want. Work from a different location every day if you want. You have the freedom to work as much, or as little as you would like. Lounge on the couch in your favorite pajamas, with a cup of coffee, while working your own business like a boss. Avon allows you to work on building your business whenever you want. This means no set hours that interfere with family time, or a get-together with friends. Being an Independent Avon Sales Representative, or what I like to call a "beauty boss", allows me to stay home with my 2 year old daughter while being able to help my husband with our finances. One of the best things is that your commission from online sales is the same as face to face sales. Your website allows your customers to shop when it's most convenient for them, and have their orders delivered directly to their door. Avon takes care of shipping, so you don't have to!

One of my all time favorite tools that Avon provides is completely free online training through their Avon University (Avon U for short). There are comprehensive modules that help you run your business, such as how to use social media to boost your business, the correct wording when talking with people, how and why to build your team, and how you can get promoted. There are also webinars and free training videos that help you launch your business and get off to a great start.

You sometimes hear about having to have at least $50 in sales before even getting some sort of commission back....not with Avon! Every dollar you work hard in getting in sales, you receive a commission on. Whether that commission be 20%, 30%, or even 40% is completely up to you. Your hard work is acknowledged no matter the sales.

One thing I love about this business is that you get as much out of it as you put in. After joining Avon, you are guaranteed 40% commission for your first campaign, after the first campaign (first ordering period), you have the opportunity to continue earning 40% by hitting certain achievable goals.

Being an Independent Avon Sales Representative allows you to receive some nice discounts at affiliated stores like Staples, Dell, and T-mobile. You also have the option of healthcare, and applying for scholarships for not only you, but also your children. My daughter is only 2 right now or else I would be jumping at the chance of scholarships.

Can you keep products on-hand to show potential customers, or to make sales? Of course you can! But it's not required to do so. You also are never required to throw any type of home (or online) parties unless you actually want to. So, if you want to throw a launch party, or a casual Avon get together, go for it! That's the beauty of being your own boss.
