Beyond Ebay - A Guide to Online Action Sites

While Ebay may be the most well known of the online auction companies, they certainly are not the only one out there. Here is a guide to some of the lesser known auction sites. Often better deals may be found on these sites as sellers try to avoid the higher fees Ebay can charge due to its popularity.

Etsy is my favorite.

Although not an auction, Etsy has some great deals on handmade items!

There is just something so nice about seeing things that real people have created. I love to support local businesses and Etsy seems to me to be a good way to do so. I feel good about making my purchases there. I also know that I am helping someone do what they love. As a crafter myself I like the community that Etsy provides as well.

Difficult to answer as I had only heard of the top two. I have definitely fallen out with ebay tho'. I had an account on there for three years but now it seems biased towards the big stores
