Take Online Surveys to Earn Free Rewards

Epoll is a website that offers rewards for taking surveys. The Epoll website periodically sends surveys to your email address. When you fill out the surveys, you earn points to exchange for various gift card rewards. You can also earn cash in increments of $5.00 which will be deposited into your online Paypal account if you choose that instead of a gift card. You know how many people say you can't get anything for free these days? Well, you can get free gift cards through Epoll. Although they won't cost money, they will cost you time. Each survey takes five to twenty minutes to fill out.

The surveys enable you to share your thoughts and opinions with companies that provide you with services and products you use every day. I am always a bit leery about sites like these that promise you the world and then don't come through with what they tell you. But Epoll is a legitimate way to earn great gift card rewards for a small amount of effort.

Signing Up is Easy

To sign up to become an Epoll Member, you must first go to the Epoll website: www.epoll.com/ The next step is to fill out a personal profile so Epoll will know which types of surveys to send to you. The questions asked in the profile are as follows:

* Name

* Pick a password

* Street Address

* Phone Number ( optional)

* Gender

* Marital Status

* Racial Background

* Education Level Completed

* Number and ages of Children

* Your Employment Status

* Your Employment Industry

* Estimated Household Income

* Email Address

Once you have filled out all the information and completed your profile, you will also be asked your interests and hobbies. You should check as many boxes as you can because the more boxes you check as interests, the more surveys you will qualify for. After that, you just wait for surveys to be sent to your email address. It's a good idea to check your email at least every few days because if you miss an email offering you a survey, you will get one reminder email, and then it's usually too late because they have reached the allotted number of surveys they need. So, you will miss that particular chance to earn points, but you will get another chance usually within one to four weeks.

When you have completed the survey, points will be entered into your account. You can either earn 500 or 1000 points. The more detailed the survey is, the longer it takes to complete a survey, and the more points you will earn. Surveys range from fast food choices to movies, favorite television shows, and stations, to your health.

The Rewards

Now the fun part: the rewards! The following is a list of rewards you can redeem points for:

1) Charity: you can choose to give your points to various charities such as the Red Cross and St. Jude's Children's Hospital. They can then turn in the points for rewards.

2) Entertainment: You will be able to earn free movie tickets.

3) Food: You have a choice of $5 - $30 in gift cards, depending on how many points you have earned. Gift Cards are available for Starbucks, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc.

4) Home/Lifestyle: You have a choice of $5 - $30 gift cards, depending on how many points you have earned, to Target, Home Depot, or transfer your points to money which is put into Paypal, an account online that stores money you've earned

5) Movies/Electronics/Music/Toys: This category offers gift cards to Best Buy and Amazon.com.

6) Cash - you can choose to have your points converted to cash and deposited into your Paypal account. The cash rewards increments are $5.00 each.

Each year I earn between $25 and $50 worth of gift cards. These used to be mailed to me but now come as e-gift cards. This is a wonderful bonus to my Christmas shopping budget each November/December. That means I need to order my gift card rewards from Epoll by Thanksgiving to be sure I will have them in plenty of time to shop online and get the products in by Christmas. I either use them as a gift in themselves or sometimes I use them to purchase gifts for friends and family.

Sometimes I opt for $5.00 or $10 deposited into my Paypal account, depending on how many points I have accrued. That extra cash is nice as well.

I have been a member of Epoll since 2001, and I enjoy the rewards immensely.

Update:

In December of 2012, I earned a $25 gift card to Walmart which I used toward Christmas gifts for my family.

In July of 2013, I earned enough points for a $5 gift card to Starbucks which I will use as a surprise in the mail for my daughter who goes to college in Philadelphia at Drexel University. She has to move in on her birthday in September, so in her birthday card that I give her as we help her move in, she will get a Starbucks gift card to start her school year off right. There are many Starbucks restaurants near her college, and she goes to them to do her homework in peace, so it's the perfect gift!

In August of 2013, I earned enough points to get a $5 gift card, this time to Target which I will probably use for back to school supplies for the same daughter as above!

Update: 2018

At this point, the gift cards are all electronic, BUT you can also earn points and exchange them for cash that is deposited directly into your Paypal account. I love that so that is my usual choice of reward. It's nice to have the option to earn cash from Epoll now.

Earning free gift cards or cash for taking surveys is so much fun and very rewarding.
