    is there any legal action that can be done?

    I was on schedule to start my new job today..... I arrived and the manager who hired me says...that he has employees that say that if i were to work there they would be upset so he sent me home, I did nothing wrong to be sent home, i was so excited about the job i even bought new work attire.....is there anything I can do about this?

    Well I guess there is more to the story, I guess you can consult a lawyer and hear what options you have from a professional.

    Do you have documented proof that you were hired and given a start date? Write a letter to your local labor board describing the incident and report discrimination (keep a copy for your records). Make sure to include your contact info. If you don't hear from them in a reasonable time...call them to see if they received your letter. Keep at it until you get some satisfaction.
