While accounting is a reasonably dull subject, except to people involved in it as a career or...

profession, there can be some reasonably interesting moments.  Do you think accounting and / or accounting software can make a good hub to read?

    Hey Telltale,

You are right, accounting is a dull subject. If you were able to make it entertaining, I'm sure people would love to read about it considering a good portion of people have to learn general accounting at some point in their life. As an accountant/auditor studying for the CPA right now, the sheer volume of information available to write about is staggering.  However, I would assume not many people would come online looking for 'accounting hubs' unless it addressed something related to their work environment. That being said, I'm sure if you made it entertaining, informative, using stories to identify with the information, then it would relate more to people.

As for accounting software, you could create tutorials to address specific accounting software issues that people would run across.

    Good luck!

I think it would make an incredibly boring hub to read. If there were some common problem people were having with a software and you have a solution that hub may be worthwhile. Also a hub comparing accounting software could be useful to those who are in the market for software.

Accounting is important in business to provide a general overview of how the business is doing financially. Understanding accounting greatly helps the business owner make profitable decisions for the company.

Accounting allows the business owner to see where profit is being made and where losses are occurring, helping him know where improvements need to be made

Seeing if profits are large enough to overcome expenses is tantamount in business; this information defines the success of the operation

With accounting, the business owner can make financial decisions that will be most lucrative in the long run.

All financial records are kept in order thanks to accounting; this allows taxes to be executed easily and precisely at the end of the year.

Accounting accounts for the reality of life it is how you look at it and how it has been presented to us. Accounting is what you do each time you make a financial decision. Is my paycheck enough to cover my bills? Can I afford a new pair of shoe this month without hurting the budget? How much can i afford to save? That is what all accounting is about. If you keep on doing your accounting your paycheck no matter how much it is you will do more with it, and you will be happy. Write about it but make it simple.
