Do you daydream at work? Has it got you into trouble?
Last week I was sitting at my desk fantasizing only to be interrupted by a coworker. I was embarrassed and tried to explain what I was doing but before I could come up with an excuse I had already admitted the truth. They were not amused and I think they told my supervisor, because now I get odd stares and am afraid I may be looking for a new job soon.
I think everyone daydreams at work to some degree. The trick is to get whatever it is off of your mind so you can concentrate on work while you're at work. I recommend sitting down right now and just writing down whatever it is that you're thinking about so you can clear out your head and start fresh tomorrow.
BTW, you are probably feeling a little paranoid right now after your coworker catching you. I'm sure things are fine and you are just perceiving them differently. You will feel better soon enough. Just keep working hard.
Sometimes the mind does wander off to places out side the workplace. But that doesn't trouble me or any of my colleagues as my return is real quick as well.
