I believe this depends on ones proclivities and inclinations. Whatever strong suit a person has, or passion makes it the best career for them. If you are asking about making the most money or having the most secure job, well that answer will be different. In today's job market it is fast becoming a necessity to be bilingual, at least bilingual.
Computers and programmers are a needed in the industry since it is now changing fast as computers continue to grow, now at an even faster pace.
Other fields are also growing. Right now the baby boomers are either pre-retirees or retired..so a job which caters to the bulk of a boom in population is a plus..medical and insurance of all types and in different facets.
Animation has changed completely with computers, however feel many artists who develop animation lack a real understanding of movement and underlying body structure. So back to basics in drawing and also handwriting should be included..but I doubt that will happen.
College students now "keyboarding" don't know how to sign their name!
Mathematics is a field I doubt someone could fail to follow if they have what it takes. Of course the appropriate knowledge of the computer programs is a must. (ie excel).
And now it is green energy, anything green in business will develop further as time progresses.
But back to the original question, can you please define it more for us a bit?
I guess I can narrow it down to best career fields for minimal stress. I don't care about money.
The best career to be in is unique to everyone. Find something you love doing and find a way to make money doing it. Nothing worse than having to go to work every day to something you despise doing. Think about what brings you enjoyment and then make a list of jobs that could fulfill that joy. Life is just easier when you are happy with yourself.
