15 Ways to Get Contest Votes

  1. Post to your Facebook account about the contest and remember to thank everyone who comments that they voted for you. Don't forget to ask them to share your link with their Facebook friends!
  2. Start a Twitter account (if you don't have one already) and tweet about your contest. For even more votes, search for others asking for vote requests, follow them and tweet to them that you voted (and don't lie about this). Don't forget to ask for retweets!
  3. Post your voting link on other social networks such as Google+, MySpace, LiveJournal, Tumblr, etc.
  4. Send out an email to everyone in your address book about the voting contest. Again, remember to thank them!
  5. Create a video about WHY you want or need to win this contest. Post it on YouTube as well as on all the social networking websites you posted on before.
  6. Create a webpage or blog about your vote request. I would suggest creating your page on Weebly or your blog on Tumblr, Blogger or Wordpress. Make the page bright and happy.
  7. Put your link in the signature line on a forum you frequent. The forum doesn't have to be related to contests. Just make sure you check the forum rules first.
  8. Post on a Question and Answer site like Yahoo Answers or Mahalo Answers. Don't ask "can you vote for me?" because that can get you banned from the website. Be sneaky and ask "How can I get more votes in this contest?" and post the link.
  9. Create a Facebook Group about your vote request and invite all your friends. Ask them to invite their friends and so on. Use the power of social networking to your advantage.
  10. If you play Facebook games like Farmville or Sims Social, send gifts to your neighbors and include a message about your contest.
  11. Create a Hubpage hub with your vote request. Tell everyone why you deserve to win, how happy it would make you, why you need the prize, etc.
  12. Do a google search for blogs, websites, youtube videos, etc from people who need contest votes. Vote for them and then add a comment about your contest as well.
  13. Add a comment to this Hubpage post.
  14. Add your request to a vote request website.
  15. Add your request to a Facebook vote exchange page.

Vote Request Websites

There are lots of websites designed for requesting contest votes. Here are some of my favorites:

BEWARE

Beware of companies that sell votes! These are scams that can get you disqualified from the contest you're trying to win.

Have you ever WON a contest that required you to get votes?
