100th Lens Milestone

Updated on May 21, 2013

My 100th Lens Milestone

On May 3, 2012, I reached the 100 lens milestone and in my opinion joined an elite group of Squidoo lensmasters for having triple digit lenses. 100 is a whole lot different than having 50 or 75 lenses. I am proud to have 100 lenses, and I am 900 away from my goal of 1,000 lenses. I will never stop creating lenses for the Squidoo community, and when I get these trophies, that just makes me try even harder.

Looking Back At The 50th Lens Milestone

I reached the 50th lens milestone on April 6, 2012, so these milestone are less than 1 month apart. I am happy to have published 50 lenses within the month, and that just expands my services and knowledge to other people all across the web. The 50th lens milestone made me try harder, but every time I get a new trophy for a lens, I always try even harder.

I Couldn't Have Reached 100 Lenses Without....

I created a lens awhile ago about me creating 5 or more lenses a week. Most of the time, I create over 10 lenses per week, but 5 is the minimum. Based on the statistics, I should have close to 300 lenses by the end of the year, but I like to over perform and do more than what is expected. I created the 5 lenses or more a week lens to inspire myself to work on creating different lenses. I am happy to have that lens, and it is fun to update it with my newest lenses.

My Goals Never Stop

150

I am heading near the 150th lens milestone. I have 100 lenses right now, and I am 50 away, but at the rate I'm at now, I could have 150 lenses on my shelf before the end of May. I see the Squidoo Lens Trophies telling me to continue, and they are very convincing. Eventually, I will unlock trophies that no one else has unlocked before (hopefully).

I Have Made 100 Lenses Before My First Payout!

I should be finally getting a Paypal payment from Squidoo in mid May. Squidoo has been a big success, and I hope that the results are good. Since this is my first payout, I don't expect to be anywhere near $50, but I should be at about $20 since I had a Tier 2 lens that made 2 sales in March. All I can do is wait and see what happens.

What Inspired Me To Reach Over 100 Lenses

The Squid Monsters and Squid Points system had a big effect on me, and I hope to be a Level 80 Squid soon. This points system was helpful to my success, and I wanted to thank Squidoo for all they have done for me. The community at the SquidU Forum gave me some nice pointers, so you should check them out as well.

A Small Side Effect

I am more than happy to reach the 100th Lens Milestone, but I will be the first one to admit that I have not created lenses as rapidly as I did in the past. I used to create about 5 lenses a day, but now I create only 1 lens a day. My progress is still good, and I will still reach my 5 lenses or more a week goal, but I have created lenses at a faster pace. Now is the time when I want to have more Tier 1-3 lenses than Tier 4 lenses.
