5 Social Networks Guaranteed to Boost Blog Traffic

Updated on March 20, 2013

This article comes from my personal experience. I am writing this in order to help people who are starting off writing blogs and want more traffic coming on to their blogs from the initial stages. When I started writing my blogs, these were the top social networking sites I relied to post my blogs on. And they have helped me till now. Of course, there are other social networking platforms where you can post your blogs to get more traffic. But the ones I have listed here are the ones which have worked for me all the time. So, here are the 5 best social that are guaranteed to bring more traffic to your blog post.

1) Facebook

If you are looking at sharing your blog posts, this naturally should be your first choice. When you like and share your blog posts, your friends and family will be the first circle of people who will like the post and start sharing it with others in their circles. One technique you can use to increase your viewership on Facebook is to share the post in related groups or pages where you can gain audience which has similar interests. You can also create a Facebook page and ask your Facebook friends to like the page.

2) Twitter

Among the top most social networks, twitter is next to Facebook (or possibly, first). So, if you want more people to follow your blog post, do remember to share it on twitter. One technique you can use here to increase your traffic is to use appropriate hash (#) tags. This will help your blog post appear on twitter searches. Also, make sure that you are following some people on twitter, who share similar interests.

3) Pinterest

One of the social networks to get guaranteed traffic to your posts is Pinterest. I don’t know the exact technical details how the traffic works here, but all I know is that I have got a decent number of followers from here since I started posting my blog posts here. Pinterest allows you to pin certain posts to your board. My understanding is that these pins and boards are visible to people who follow similar interests. So, when they start following your boards and pins, it automatically increases your traffic.

4) Google plus

Love it or hate it, Google plus is one place where you must post your blog posts to gain more traffic. And as I said earlier, this is from my personal experience. I am one person who used to say that Google plus would never compete with Facebook. In fact, I thought that it would be a total disaster. Well, it doesn’t matter whether it will be bigger than Facebook in the future or it will be a total disaster, this has been a popular social networking platform for some time by the looks of and has definitely given me a good traffic.

5) Stumble Upon

If you are just starting off blogging, you may not be aware of this platform. But regular bloggers do. I started trusting this platform after my research and trying out similar other platforms such as Reddit, Digg, Tumblr and so on. This is one social platform I have stuck to and post my blogs religiously. It is a web content search engine mixed with a social networking experience. It helps users to find and rate photos, pages and videos. If you need an instant boost in your blog traffic, this is one platform you should use.

These are the top 5 social networking platforms guaranteed to bring your blog posts good traffic. I am sure that these platforms will definitely help upcoming bloggers. Experienced bloggers can also share what other platforms one can use to boost blog traffic.

New Google publishers spend time to get approved for a Google AdSense account these days due to the tight rules ,methods and conditions that Google binds them with. But who said that Google AdSense is a Get Rich Quick Company ?
