5 Best Social Media Platforms Guaranteed to Boost Your Blog Traffic

Updated on May 16, 2019

This article comes from my personal experience. I am writing this in order to help people who are starting off writing blogs and want more traffic coming on to their blogs from the initial stages. When I started writing my blogs, these were the top social networking sites I relied to post my blogs on. And they have helped me till now. Of course, there are other social networking platforms where you can post your blogs to get more traffic. But the ones I have listed here are the ones which have worked for me all the time. So, here are the 5 best social that are guaranteed to bring more traffic to your blog post.

1) Facebook

If you are looking at sharing your blog posts, this naturally should be your first choice. When you share your blog posts here, your friends and family will be the first circle of people who will like the post and start sharing it with others in their circles. One technique you can use to increase your audience on Facebook is to share the post in related groups or pages where you can gain an audience that has similar interests. You can also create a Facebook page and ask your Facebook friends to like the page. This keeps them updated about any new blog posts you post on this page.

2) Twitter

Among the topmost social networks, Twitter is next to Facebook. So, if you want more people to follow your blog post, do remember to share it on Twitter. One technique you can use here to increase your traffic is to use the appropriate hash (#) tags. This will help your blog post appear on Twitter searches. Also, make sure that you are following some people on Twitter, who share similar interests.

3) Pinterest

One of the social networks to get guaranteed traffic to your posts is Pinterest. I don’t know the exact technical details (or algorithms) of how the traffic works here, but what I know is that I have got a good number of followers from here since I started posting my blog posts here. Pinterest allows you to pin certain posts to your board. My understanding is that these pins and boards are visible to people who follow similar interests. So, when they start following your boards and pins, it automatically increases your traffic.

4) LinkedIn

Whether you are a professional blogger or you blog just for fun, LinkedIn is one platform you must have in your list of social media websites. Unarguably, LinkedIn is the largest professional platform available out there with more than 500 million users. That means that your blogs can reach a massive audience. If you have a company blog you want to promote, then even better. You can expect to reach the right audience for your blogs.

5) Instagram

Once independent, Instagram is now part of Facebook. This social platform is another great platform to promote your blog. Now, Instagram works in a way that is different than other platforms in sharing your blog posts. Instagram does not offer a wall or feed where you can keep sharing your posts. However, it offers you an option to share the link to your blog or website in your bio. If you use this option smartly, you can definitely attract more traffic.

These are the top 5 social networking platforms guaranteed to bring your blog posts good traffic. I am sure that these platforms will definitely help upcoming bloggers. Experienced bloggers can also share what other platforms one can use to boost blog traffic.
