Alternative Options for Hubpages Payments

Updated on April 26, 2013

What if Hubpages integrated more options for Hubbers to get paid?

Hubpages pays Hubbers via PayPal. Payments include revenue earned from the Ad Program, and from the Apprenticeship Program.

You have to earn at least $50 to get a payout. Also, the earnings have to be processed before you can receive a payment.

Payments are consistently made on the 28th of each month, via PayPal. (Hubpages is ultra-consistent with payments. Kudos!)

The Hubages payment system works, but not for efficiently for everyone.

Having a PayPal account is one thing, but withdrawing funds from it can be problematic for some. If you reside in the United States (US), you can simply input your bank account details, and have the funds deposited directly into that account. Additionally, you may be eligible for a PayPal MasterCard, which makes receiving payments faster and more convenient. Other countries have a similar agreement with PayPal, whereby residents can use the direct deposit option.

International Hubbers Need More Payment Options

Unfortunately for a number of Hubbers, withdrawal options are skinnier and less convenient -- if even available. The second option to withdraw funds from PayPal is via check. It’s not uncommon for a Hubber to wait weeks, if not months, for a single PayPal check to arrive in the mail. And be not mistaken, this doesn't only happen in the East, but happens in the West as well. It isn't totally a matter of where a Hubber lives. Apparently there are other factors creating this ridiculous wait-time for checks to arrive.

This is why, in the interest of the global community of Hubbers, Hubpages could consider additional payment options.

Payoneer Caters to the International Hubber

One such option that is very well worth considering is Payoneer.

Payoneer, Inc. was founded in New York in 2005, which provides global financial services online. Services that Payoneer provides include:

  • Debit MasterCard

  • Virtual Card

  • U.S. Payment Service

  • Global Bank Transfer

Get a Payoneer Debit MasterCard

I recommend the Payoneer Prepaid Debit MasterCard® Card, and the US Payment Service to receive payments quickly from PayPal, and by extension Hubpages. Sign up now and earn $25* (Upon clicking the link, click "continue".)

*Conditions Apply.

As it relates to a Hubber, the first three are highly advantageous. With a Payoneer Debit MasterCard, you can use ATMs all over the world to withdraw money. You can also load the MasterCard from your local bank.

The virtual card is the Debit MasterCard is virtual form, which you can use to track transactions, check balances and even transfer funds to another Cardholder.

To top it all off, is the U.S. Payment Service. This is where the “milk and honey” comes in. This service allows a non-US Cardholder who doesn't have a US Bank account to have a Virtual (U.S.) Bank Account. With this service, you can get paid directly from corporations who are in partnership with Payoneer. Amazon, Inc, Apple Inc., Google Adsense -- just to name a few.

If Hubpages could be a partner of Payoneer, then international Hubbers can have an option to get access to their money instantly, instead of waiting for weeks or months for a check. Besides, even if you live in the U.S., you would still have the option to use Payoneer’s services.

Do you think Payoneer is a good alternative to get paid from Hubpages?
