Searching apt keywords for Amazon Capsules

This article was written to answer the question; "How can I boost sales in my Amazon.com capsules..

Writers and Internet publishers who want to use their Amazon™.com capsules to maximize profits, and enhance their articles or Hubs; I have included some helpful hints:

Amazon.com and E-Bay Capsules used effectively in your Hubs or articles can make an overall better presentation, and likely increase sales/earnings from Amazon.com.

The idea is similar to using SEO matching for your titles, or content when you are publishing on line.

If you want to be known for having high quality content, and gain a stellar reputation with those who seek and pay for good quality, it is good to take time, and extra effort when choosing items to display in your Amazon and/or E-bay capsules.

Sales, earnings, placement

I started with HubPages the first week of July 2010. As January 2011 I had earned around $10.00 from people clicking on my Amazon capsules. These were legitimate clicks, and it was really starting to add up.

As of today March 28, 2013 I am no longer eligible to earn with Amazon because the State I live in; Arkansas made requirements that Amazon refused to abide by, so my account was closed. This was not due to anything I did wrong, or Amazon.com did wrong, so I continue to use Amazon capsules to enhance my content, but I am just being a good citizen, helping Amazon too.

Our State allows E-bay sales affiliations, so I have started using E-bay more, but I continue to use the same formula, and I get a lot of hits on the displayed capsules.

As with any on-line market, building income and traffic comes exponentially. The best description of exponential is this:

  • Get a large tank car
  • Day 1, Put in one penny = .01
  • Day 2, double it = .02
  • Day 3 double the amount = .04
  • Keep doing this
  • Day 20 = $5,242.88
  • Day 30 = $5,368,709.12

I understood when I first started out as an Internet publisher in 2007, that if I did make money, it would take time, and many readers.

HubPages, and Hubbers , have provided tools and Hubs, for me and all new Hubbers learn how to publish successfully. My earnings from August 2007 to July of 2010, from two blogs on Blogspot.com, without much advertising, was $1.76. Amazon earnings -0-.

In January of 2011 my earnings were about $60.00 from AdSense alone. I have several other sources besides HubPages for Internet publishing, and I am seeing a few dollars here and there.

HubPages also sponsors contests, where prizes won are quickly distributed through Pay-Pal.

Amazon Affiliate Program

From what I understand, when a reader of your article clicks on an Amazon, or E-bay product does not buy it at that first click, you do not get the sale.

With E-Bay, the likelihood of someone making a purchase on the first click is astronomical, because most items are for bid. It is more likely that a reader would buy an Amazon.com item on first click, but if they click, put it on their wish-list, then come back later to buy it, you do not get the sale.

This means:

  • they may have clicked on it,
  • put it in their wish list,
  • they did not complete the transaction on that primary click
  • it is not counted as a valid sale.

Amazon product placement, Keywords or Choose Items?

In July 2010, when I first started using Amazon as an Affiliate partner, I was very conscience of the need to place quality products in line with my quality content.

I would spend hours pouring over customer comments, and ratings for products that I would choose to display in my Amazon.com capsules.

The negative on this is that by choosing the individual items, the product could easily sell out, or become unavailable, and without checking the capsules daily, your entire Hub can get out of whack. It is possible that empty Amazon, or E-bay capsules could change the format of your Hub.

After a few months, and with a better understanding of SEO I started using the search option for Amazon.com capsules, and E-bay capsules as well.

If you word your searches correctly, your capsules will automatically update as old items become outdated, or unavailable.

The benefits of using keyword searches on Amazon.com for products is

The benefits of using the Keyword search on Amazon products is that if Amazon sells out of items presently displayed on your pages, or items become available that are a closer match, Amazon keyword placement, causes Amazon to automatically replace them.

Another benefit is that the writer can use creativity with the Amazon or E-Bay capsules and display products in a unique manner. Forinstance; I did a book review of a book by Dean Koontz. Rather than navigating the unsure world of image use, and copyright infringement, I used Amazon.com capsules to be the photos needed for the book I reviewed.

Another way to optimize your Amazon.com and E-bay capsules.

Depending on the type of article or Hub you are writing, if you choose such keywords as clearance, sale, or closeout, this will help placement for a Money Saving or Frugal Living Hub .

On the other hand, a writer or publisher can use Keywords such as New, Finest, and Premium to get more expensive items to display in your Amazon.com or E-Bay capsules..

Most writers here will have no problem using their imagination to come up with keywords to display optimum items for sale and in alliance with the writer's published content.

In 2011 the Arkansas legislature caused Amazon.com to refuse to do business with Arkansas advertisers or sellers, as they demand Amazon withhold taxes, as if we are already as shifty and shady as they are. This of course has caused a loss of tax revenue for Arkansas and Small business owners. August 30, 2012

I wish all readers the very best, and Good Luck.
