For Some Reason Here on HubPages I Always Get The Feeling That Someone Is Following Me....

When I first found HubPages it was just because a search on Google brought it up but it had nothing to do what I was searching for. I was curious to know what this HubPages site was and clicked on it. I found it was a writing community where you could make money writing articles. I went to the learning center so I could read and learn more on how to write on HubPages and do it right. I was very impressed with the information within the learning center. I did not join that day but walked away knowing that I would write on HubPages. I have always enjoyed writing and I get that from my mom, she use to write short stories to earn a few dollars from True Story and Modern Romance magazines in the 60’s. She also would write poems to my dad everyday when he was station in Germany during the Koran war.

The next day I signed up to be a member of HubPages and went to work on my first hubs. I also went around and commented on other people’s hubs just so they knew I was here and in hopes of them to come and comment on my few hubs that I had written. I learn from my blogging days on Windows Live Spaces that you have to make people aware that you are there and doing the same thing they are. I spent eight and a half years blogging there till they closed Windows Live Spaces. Ninety nine percent of my Facebook friends were my blogging friends.

I found that this writing community had many friendly and helpful people and some became my followers. And still today I find this great writing community very friendly and helpful and many of my followers are now my friend has well. It would be great if every follower we have on our list would leave comments on hubs we write, but has you know they don’t, so the number of followers you do have on your list are not all active followers for one reason or another. Also I have always wondered why someone would follow you and never comment on any of your hubs, even though you have commented on their hubs. If anyone has an answer to that I’d like to know it? But HubPages is still the best place to write, on other writing sites you get paid per article and that is it, that article never makes you any more money. On HubPages every article you write has the opportunity to make you money daily. For anyone who may be reading this article and thinking about writing here on HubPages but not sure if you can do it, the only way you will know if you can write here on HubPages is just to try, you may find that you can and also read everything in the Learning Center it will tell you what you need to know to write successfully on HubPages.

I also seen here on HubPages some have had hubs pulled down for one reason or another, I to have had one myself pulled down not too long ago. But some hubbers take it personal or think what they wrote is carve in stone. I have had it done to me a few times since I have been here, and I just revise it and republish it. The way I look at it is if you worked for a paper or magazine your article would have go to the editor to be read and be accepted has it is written. If the editor came to you and said they liked your article but two paragraphs had to be rewritten and you made a big fuss about it, I don’t think you would be working there very long. I think HubPages just wants to keep their advertisers for their ad program and to want us to have the best quality hubs so they will make us more money.

Over the year or more I have been here on HubPages I have read many interesting hubs and learned many new things on subjects I did not know before. That is one of the great benefits of writing here on HubPages, it expanse your knowledge base and it in a way helps you become a better writer. I have always made it a point to get back to anyone who leaves a comment on my hubs first and has soon as I can. And will always comment back on one of their hubs. And I also try to leave good quality comments most of the time. I have enjoying reading all your hubs and leaving comments on them has well, but most of all I have enjoyed the great friendship I share with many of you, and that in itself would be enough to keep me writing here.

I just like to say to everyone that helped design the hub page template for our hubs you all did a great job thumbs up to you all. I also can’t wait for the new profile page to roll out at the end of the summer. It looks awesome and will be a big improvement to what we have right now.
